People having psychotic episodes don't stop murdering their children by slow strangulation to answer the phone, have a conversation and then go back to the killing.
Strangulation isn't quick, it's slow and agonizing. It takes time and physical exertion even for a child.
I can't imagine how that mother could hear her terrified children screaming in fear of her and look into their precious faces watching their eyes bulging, their faces turning red, the blood vessels in the whites of their eyes bursting turning their eyes blood red and hear them choking and gasping for air as they died and then just keep on going one, by one, by one until they were all silent and unconscious.
Anyone who can in any way excuse or justify the strangulation murders of 3 innocent children - is a danger to everyone around them. If they are mothers their children should be removed from their custody for their protection.

I’ve stayed silent on the LindsayClancy trial because as a mom and a nurse—it makes me physically sick.
Yes, severe psychosis clouds a mother's mental state and completely destroys her ability to make rational decisions.
Education, logic, and medical training get wiped out in those terrifying moments.
But a clouded mind does not negate or justify the fact that she took the lives of her three innocent children.
Duty dictated she distance herself to protect them.
Mental illness explains the tragedy—but it can never excuse it.
She is guilty and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
