Kentucky travel RT living out of a Winnebago on contract. Night shift, fishing when I can, and Go Cats 💙 Glad you're here

Clocks fall back Sunday. Extra hour of sleep sounds nice until it's dark before supper and the evening fishing is done for the year.

Happy RC Week to all my fellow respiratory therapists. Good week to check when your license renews, too. I put every state's RT and nurse CE requirements in one spot: travelhealthcarehq.com/ceus

Kentucky football is No. 9 in the AP poll and just went unbeaten in October for the first time since 1977. Basketball usually gets all the attention this time of year. Not this fall. Go Cats.

Sunday plan is simple. Big breakfast, a long nap, and maybe a couple hours on the water this afternoon if the wind lays down.

Before you sign a travel contract, get the guaranteed hours, cancellation policy and float rules in writing. A recruiter's promise on the phone doesn't count. I keep a checklist of what to ask here: travelhealthcarehq.com/check…

Cats handled Texas Tech last night and football gets Vandy at Kroger Field tonight. Good weekend to be from Kentucky.

Campground's filling up with leaf peepers this weekend. Fire pits going at every site and somebody's dog stops by to say hi. Not a bad way to live on contract. If you've thought about it, I listed RV parks near hospitals by state: travelhealthcarehq.com/rv-pa…

Housing tip for travelers: never send a deposit on a place you haven't seen. Get a live video walkthrough first and every term in writing. I put together where to look and the scam red flags here: travelhealthcarehq.com/housi…

What's the worst scrub color you've ever had to wear on a contract? I'm in eggplant right now and it's by far the worst 🍆 If you get to pick your own, here's my list of better ones: travelhealthcarehq.com/scrub…

Water's cooling down and the fish are getting hungry. Best time of year to get a line wet. 🎣

First cold night of the year in the camper. Finally had to kick the furnace on. Fall's here.

If you're thinking about traveling, start the license stuff early. Some states take weeks. Put every state's license board in one spot: travelhealthcarehq.com/licen…

Went through the tackle box and found three lures I don't even remember buying. Every fisherman has that one drawer.

Basketball season is almost here. Nothing like Rupp Arena when the Cats are rolling. 🏀

Night shift on a travel contract hits different. New city, same 3am coffee.

Thinking about traveling as an RT or nurse? Ask me anything. Happy to share what I wish I knew starting out.

New contract, new hospital, different protocols to follow. Same job though. Keep people breathing.

Packing for a travel contract is an art. Scrubs, stethoscope, coffee maker, fishing pole. Priorities.

Travel perk nobody talks about: you stop sweating hospital politics. Show up, do good work, move on.
