Former Andhra Pradesh CM @ysjagan moves the State Election Commission, alleging that YSRCP candidates are being obstructed from filing nominations for the municipal elections.
The stakes go beyond municipal wards. Polls across 100 urban local bodies will test the TDP-led government’s political strength at the grassroots and YSRCP’s ability to rebuild after its 2024 defeat.
The immediate test: a level playing field. Every candidate must have a fair opportunity to contest, free from intimidation or obstruction. The credibility of the electoral process depends on it.
