68 days to Christmas guys Still plenty of time to get that perfect gift, choose wisely. Remember the Doghouse isn’t just for Christmas 😄
This might be the funniest commercial I've seen in a very long time. Its for the jewelry section of JC Penny's and it is priceless. They really sunk some money into it. I guess they do good sales there. I know that im buying my very special lady's ring at a better known jewelry store than JC's 🤣🤣🤣💍

A brilliant graphic from @SteveSayersOne exposing the SNP’s breathtaking EU hypocrisy. From campaigning AGAINST EEC membership in 1975 to claiming Scotland was dragged out of the EU against its will in 2016. The irony? Independence in 2014 would have taken Scotland out of the EU before any Brexit vote took place.

They teach you the world got connected in the 1990s.
Not that a British ship did it in 1866. 🇬🇧 Watch the full story. 🎥 When Abraham Lincoln was shot, London didn’t find out for twelve days. ⏳ An American called Cyrus Field dreamed of a wire under the ocean.
But nobody in America could make it. Only Britain could. 🇬🇧🏭 Two warships tried to lay it. HMS Agamemnon and USS Niagara. 🚢
It snapped. It broke. Again and again. 💔 In August 1858 it finally held. America went wild. 🎆
Three weeks later the cable was dead. For seven years the ocean stayed silent.
Then Britain took it on. 🇬🇧 A new cable from Greenwich.
The only ship on earth big enough to carry it: Brunel’s giant, the Great Eastern. ⚓ In 1865, twelve hundred miles out, the cable snapped.
It sank more than two miles down. 🌊 Most people would have given up…
They made another cable instead. 💪 July 1866. Heart’s Content, Newfoundland.
Britain and America were joined. News that took twelve days now took minutes. ⚡ But the job wasn’t finished.
They went back for the cable they’d lost. Two and a half miles down. Nearly thirty attempts. 🪝 Then the spot of light moved.
The cable was alive. ✨ The wharf is still there in Greenwich. The house on it is a pub now.
You can drink a pint where the world was wired. 🍺 We come from people who go back for it. 🇬🇧 Help us bring Britain back up from the dark: proudofus.co.uk Be part of us. ☝️🇬🇧
Be Proud Of Us. 🙏🇬🇧

Andy was right; use Google Maps to find cheaper fuel. The only problem is it’s in Venezuela.

In 1967 Britain had more electric vehicles on its roads than every other country on earth put together, and they were all delivering milk. There were tens of thousands of them. The milk float: open sided, battery under the floor, top speed of about 15 miles an hour, and a whine you could pick out in your sleep. It was charged overnight at the depot and was back there by lunchtime. It carried glass bottles. Each one was collected from your step the next morning, washed and refilled. A bottle went round like that 20 or 30 times before it broke. The foil cap went for scrap. There was no other packaging. The milk had come from farms within a few miles, through a local dairy, and was on the step before 7. So here is what the country had. A zero-emission delivery fleet. Reusable containers with a return rate any modern scheme would kill for. No plastic. A supply chain you could cycle the length of. A man who noticed if an old lady's bottles were piling up, and knocked. It was dismantled in about 15 years, because a supermarket could sell milk a few pence cheaper in a plastic jug as a way of getting you through the door. Every piece of that system is now the subject of a government target for 2040. It was running in 1967, silently, in the dark, and nobody thought it was worth a mention.

As Shakespeare wrote….”Now is the winter of our discontent”…..and believe me, a discontented winter is heading our way….with bells on. The engergy price cap goes up tomorrow. It goes up again in January and estimates are that it could be by £250. Diesel prices have rocketed through £2 a litre. Diesel keeps this country moving and it will have a MASSIVE effect on inflation and overall costs. That in turn will force mortgage rates to go up. And to top it all off some “experts” are claiming we could experience blackout and food shortages as well. You didn’t hear Burnham or Healey talking about THAT in their speeches did you…
