Hey, the federal government really WILL take Donald Trump's guns. (He's a convicted felon).

It will do only one thing: help Trump defeat Biden. Shameful.
Hi @NoLabelsOrg. I know you've now stipulated that your candidate wouldn't be "in it to win it." But still, isn't coming in FIFTH behind RFK, Jr. and Cornel West a signal that maybe you should take a pass on this thing? cc: @GeoffDuncanGA

The article gives No Labels too much credit. They know exactly what they’re doing. They’re in it for the money and attention, and they know it could help elect Trump and wreck our democracy. It’s stunning.
Any candidate thinking of joining the @NoLabelsOrg ticket is destined to lose the election and serve as a dangerous spoiler. Even NL admits it now, saying: “This organization is not in it to win it.” Not the greatest pitch to prospective candidates!🧵 theatlantic.com/politics/arc…

They all know better. They’re in it for the money and attention, and they’re willing to let Trump destroy our democracy .
Why - WHY??? - do these third-party groups think forcing a contingent election would lead to anything other than hellish chaos and Trump as president? politico.com/news/2023/12/22…

Hillary Clinton, the can’t-miss candidate, lost to Trump. Biden beat Trump. So he’s a lousy candidate?
Worries about his age and decline, while legitimate, aren’t as concerning to me as the objective fact that Biden is not a great presidential candidate. Never has been, even in 2020. Dem elites put us a step closer to a dangerous Trump presidency by demanding a coronation

Every article about House Speaker chaos should note that by tradition, Dems never vote for a GOP nominee and vice versa. It's absurd to let Republicans blame Dems. bbc.com/news/world-us-canada…

As interest grows in Rep. Patrick McHenry, here's my profile from earlier this year. (You can skip the Virginia Foxx part if you like). theassemblync.com/politics/v…

Journos should remind people that House Ds never vote for the GOP's leader, and vice versa. Never ever. This notion of fluidity is silly.
Matt’s right, 7 or 8 Republicans should vote for Hakeem Jeffries to avoid that fate! That’s very obviously the best thing for the country and institution.

I truly believe the US govt cannot compel me to pay income taxes. A lawyer (a kook, but an atty) says I'm right. Thus the govt cannot prosecute me for refusing to pay taxes.
One of the many problems with this counterfactual is that Trumps team did not genuinely believe their claims as meticulously detailed by the 1/6 committee, Smith, Dominion lawsuit etc. Like asking what if Madoff genuinely believed the returns from his pyramid scheme were real

Way cool
In honor of 16 seed Farleigh Dickinson beating Purdue, here’s my dad, a @FDUWhatsNew Knight forward 60 years ago shooting a sky hook. Way to go FDU!!!
