Course is very photogenic this holiday weekend. Hope everyone has a great 4th. Photo taken by the talented @dylblo !
The front half of the double punch bowl 9th green. We’re going to extend the back of the green creating another bowl backed by fine fescue with a wall of fescue separating the 2 bowls. Short grass will extend all the way to the covered patio and bar.
The 3rd hole at Uncle Henry’s brings putter into play with the front pin location. Huge backstop if you want to throw a spinner in there!!!

Thank you to Coach PJ Fleck and the #Gophers for being a part of the Battle for the Crystal Axe; one new golf outing for two great charities. The first-ever Border Battle for Better between WI and MN personalities will take place at Lac La Belle in Oconomowoc next Tuesday!
Jordan Kalous and crew fixing a minor washout after last weeks winter thunderstorm. 2” of rain on top of 6” of snow! Project held up great in these conditions.
Sodding in January? We’re extending our short grass out to the creeks edge on the drivable par 4 14th! Last photo is Kentucky Bluegrass that we installed December 16th and rolled up today to make some changes. Look at those roots!
I love how Mother Nature exposes drain lines. Plan is to replace all sand above lines during our spring sand depth audit.
The crew is finishing the year off strong fixing some irrigation settlement (It’s been driving me crazy….Couldn’t wait to fix it!!!) and working on a couple creek restorations. Course is in great shape and ready for winter. Looking forward to a great 2023!!
