NHS nursing staff in Scotland will receive at least £188 more per month from February than colleagues in England and Wales due to a pay boost.
Pay for Agenda for Change staff there is negotiated directly between the devolved government and unions.

The @RCN_NI says around 50% of nurses here are stuck on band 5 and unable to career progress to band 6. The uplift would mean £7,000 per nurse at a cost of around &70m. Rita Devlin says paying nurses equitably should be seen as a benefit and not a cost. @niexecutive

formal pay dispute with the @niexecutive & @healthdpt Department of Health and HSC employers. The dispute focuses on the continuing absence of a 2025-2026 pay award for HSC nursing staff in Northern Ireland.

Patient safety is being put at risk in Emergency Departments due to missed doses of vital prescription medicines.
Our first Time Critical Medication (TCM) QIP report has revealed that many patients who rely on prescription medication to manage chronic conditions such as Diabetes and Parkinson’s, aren't always getting these vital drugs when in A&E.
If a dose is delayed or missed, it can cause a person’s health to worsen. And if this delay is prolonged, the consequences can be severe.
