Hello! No problem at all. I do know what a bootleg is. Oshikatsu is about supporting your fave as a hobby, and buying bootlegs (unofficial/unlicensed/pirated merch) doesn't actually do that, your fave/your fave's creators won't receive any money from it, which is why it's generally frowned upon. On top of that, bootlegs are illegal because they infringe on copyright laws. Remember that Hoyo allows fan creations and selling them, but you cannot profit from use of their official assets. Some people (I believe mostly in JP) also frown upon the use of fanmade merch for oshikatsu. Imo fanmerch is harmless and totally fine, but I am in the camp of avoiding bootlegs! They are usually poor quality and have 0 resale value, not worth spending your hard-earned money on. For Themis, there are actually bootlegs out there that are super convincing. I first found out about them for the Dragonbreath merch drop, but I'm attaching photos comparing an official Forever Young acrylic display to a bootleg to illustrate my point. The bootlegs are much worse quality compared to the official and will most likely not last as long as it should. #catriasp
