And no one is starving.
SNAP usage is at its lowest level since 2009 and has fallen by nearly 7 million since Donald Trump took office.

Why do people think Democrats will make life more affordable when Blue states are the MOST expensive places to live already? Texas is $3.59 a gallon California is $8.59 a gallon. That's not Trump. That's Democrat policies in California.

Republicans are not the reason health care is expensive. Obamacare is the reason health care is expensive. Prices have risen 52.5% since Obamacare.

Bill Cowher said it best about Lane Kiffin: “It’s always about Lane Kiffin.” He wasn’t “emotional” last night he was embarrassed, acted like a sore loser, and walked off without congratulating or even making eye contact with his former players. And spare me the “for his protection” excuse. The guy’s a jerk. Always has been, always will be.

Free Palestine is the dumbest political slogan in history. The people who repeat it don’t understand the conflict, and have no idea what they’re talking about. Their ignorance is so profound that to call them simply misinformed would be to pay them a compliment. Israel is not the aggressor. ‘Palestine’ is. Religiously mandated Islamic Jew hatred is the cause of the conflict. The Muslims don’t want freedom. Freedom is un-Islamic. They want to kill Jews. They don’t want their own state. They’ve had multiple opportunities, and they’ve rejected it every time. Israel gave them Gaza in 2005 for the promise of peace, uprooting thousands of Israelis from their homes. The Muslims could have turned it into a tourist paradise and a glittering jewel on the Mediterranean coast. Instead, they turned it into a terror hub and started raining down Iranian missiles on Israeli civilians. They spent the billions they received in aid to build terror tunnels from which to attack civilians. If these savages ever got their own state (which they won’t, thank God) the last thing it would be is free. It would be an Islamic hellhole run like Gaza is run today, with summary executions and routine torture of anyone who steps out of line. Anyone suspected of being gay would be thrown from a rooftop to their death and their body dragged through the street behind a motorcycle. Israel is the good guy in this conflict. One day you ‘Free Palestine’ morons will wake up and realise that, and you’ll cringe at the people you are now.

People say: "I wish one middle-class income could support an entire family like it did in the 1950s." Okay. Then take the entire 1950s package—not just the parts you romanticize. • No Netflix, Disney+, Spotify, or endless subscriptions • One small TV with 3 channels, if you're lucky • One basic car for the whole family • No yearly vacations or cheap flights across the country • No smartphones, laptops, gaming consoles, or internet • Every meal cooked at home from scratch • Kids sharing bedrooms • A house under 1,000 sq. ft. for a family of 4–6 • One bathroom for everyone • Little to no air conditioning in many places • Clothes repaired, reused, and handed down • Eating at restaurants was an occasional luxury, not a weekly habit The comparison isn't just income. The average household today consumes far more space, technology, entertainment, travel, convenience, and services than the average household did 70 years ago. That doesn't mean housing, healthcare, and education aren't more expensive today—they are. But when people compare lifestyles across generations, they often compare a 1950s income to a 2020s standard of living. Those aren't the same thing. If you want the economics of the 1950s, you have to accept the lifestyle of the 1950s too.

If you drive a truck like this and THIS is how you park, there’s a special place in hell for you. I get it. Big truck. Long bed. Not always easy to fit. But backing halfway across the sidewalk so everybody else has to walk around your truck is just being an a$$hole. Wheelchair? Stroller? Somebody with a walker? Apparently that’s their problem now. Drive whatever you want. Just don’t make everybody else deal with it.

In Dolly Parton's only appearance at Reynolds Coliseum (2/25/1985), she opened for and sang with country superstar Kenny Rogers in their first ever tour together. Dolly apologized for the high price of the tickets ($18.50, $16.50) but, she said, "bras are getting expensive these days." Great photo here by @RogerWinstead from that night. news.ncsu.edu/2026/08/we-had…

I work the front desk at a small doctor’s office, and I wish people could see what happens on the other side of the phone. Every day, older patients call us confused. They are told to use the patient portal, upload documents, check lab results online, fill out forms before the visit, and confirm everything through a link. Some of them do not know what a portal is. Some do not have a smartphone. Some have one, but they are afraid to click the wrong thing. Last week, a man in his late 80s called about his test results. He said, “Ma’am, I don’t mean to bother you, but the computer says I have a message and I don’t know how to open it.” He sounded ashamed. That broke my heart. He should not have to feel ashamed for needing a human being. Technology can be helpful. I understand that. But when people who built this country are made to feel helpless because everything became a login and a password, we have gone too far. Not everything needs to be an app. Not every answer should be hidden behind a screen. Sometimes people need a voice. A patient person. A real human who says, “Don’t worry, I can help you.” Progress should not leave seniors behind. Because one day, the world will move faster than us too. And I hope someone is kind enough to slow down.

I am beyond saddened hearing about the passing of Cozell McQueen, one of the heroes of the ‘83 national championship team. V asked him to rebound and play D. He did so much more.
