Every week, more of my program students are coming in with class passes and asking if they can help me with something. I've had more teachers than ever tell me they need a flyer because parents are inquiring. It really feels like I'm doing something right and that makes me 🥹🥹

I used to always get questions about why WCB existed, and I would explain but I never talked about my personal experiences i.e. when I played in RLPC a few years ago, multiple people were being sexist about me merely existing and playing in the league & the “staff” didn’t care!

One person got muted for downright misogyny towards me and the entire general chat turned into a hashtag saying “free(username)” of the person who got muted for being misogynistic towards me

While these people sending the hashtag weren’t directly mistreating me, they were supporting a man who did No one spoke up, no one said it wasn’t okay, it was a mob mentality This is how easy it is to be part of the problem instead of helping to solve it

Rocket League should re-evaluate their policy & consequences for sexual harassment. It should not be at the same consequential severity for not meeting an age requirement. We should also hold players, community members, men, women, everything in between to the same standard.

I know most esports people don’t touch grass, so benefit of the doubt, maybe you don’t know this: It’s already really hard for women to speak up about things like sexual assault. Tone policing women when we speak up makes it even harder. 1/2

It’s awkward, it’s scary, it’s not an easy thing to speak up about. Sometimes coping mechanisms come out in these discussions. If you’re flaming women for the way they speak up about difficult things, you’re part of the problem.
