Water is a key ingredient in #CO2reduction. A new @NatureCatalysis study by researchers from CAT&SCALE finds that water at the electrode surface controls how CO₂ reaches the catalyst, which affects the production of valuable chemicals.

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the research school "Energy Systems Across the Scales – From Fundamentals to Impact", hosted by @ICFOnians and organized by the @cat_scale network.

This 5-day interdisciplinary training event covers energy harvesting, transport, conversion & storage — bridging fundamental science and real-world solutions for the #EnergyTransition.
CAT&SCALE researchers have explored the role of anions in the #CO2Reduction, hindering the production of the desired compounds at low electrical currents and stabilizing the formation of key intermediates as current increases.
