There is an interesting article in the Daily Express today, which has been embargoed until the publishers were ready. It's written by Kate Werran, and has just published her book Black Yanks, which is all about the Leroy Henry affair on Combe Down: combedown.org/the-extraordin…

The Financial Ombudsman Service found for me in case PNX-4581811-S5N8 and gave .@evelynpartners 28 days to comply. They have not after 126 days. I have terminal and inoperable pancreatic cancer and I'm so pleased they care so much. #incompetent #sluggish #cavalier #inept

Going into Twitter / X hibernation. Horrible "new" format and far too many ads.

I think this article is very interesting - thetimes.co.uk/article/12f6a… The PtN family tree that I have been wondering on for a long while now. The stats may not be as impressive as those for Newbiggin but are quite interesting. There's still a lot to do though. – at Bath, England

Why do #NHS departments have phones if they never answer or voicemail if they never respond?

I do so love our wonderful Notional (sic) Health Service. [#NHS] So easy to get appointments, always answering the phone & responding to voicemail. Quickly finding out the problem & sorting it. It's no wonder it's the envy of the world & has such great outcomes. – at Bath, England

Replying to @DaveF63
Possibly, the council's inept siting the bollards for left turns at the top of RAD might give an insurer a small amount of leverage. However, even if this is true BATHNES not being bothered to repair a significant, listed site in a World Heritage City for 3 years is a disgrace.

I took this picture on the 1 Dec 2020 of the lorry damaging the pillar told the Cllrs and senior officers and even went back and asked what action was taken ..the answer none …. Yes it is absolutely disgraceful @BathPresTrust
These listed gate piers by John Wood the elder, c 1740 have been damaged for some considerable time. They truly represent Bath's World Heritage status being a part of Ralph Allen's estate, Prior Park. But #banes / @bathnes have done nothing. Disgraceful.
