Our biggest Cash Reader update in years is here for iPhone. A fresh design brings clearer navigation, better support for larger text, and high-contrast light and dark appearances. New Siri shortcuts let you open Cash Reader by voice, start identifying money, and choose one of your downloaded currencies. With VoiceOver, Magic Tap now repeats your last banknote result. On the identification screen, double-tap with two fingers to hear or feel it again. Vibration feedback is more refined, while the familiar patterns keep the same meaning. We added the Guinean franc and Sierra Leonean leone. For the Sudanese pound, we added 1,000 and 2,000 banknotes and improved recognition of the 500 note. We no longer support the Bulgarian lev, Croatian kuna, or the 1, 2, 5, and 10 Ukrainian hryvnia banknotes. This update is available on iOS for now. An Android update is coming soon. Update to Cash Reader 1.80 and try what's new. Requires iOS 18 or later.

Because of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, our cloud in the UAE and Bahrain had a rough patch, so if you use these currency packs, downloads might have failed. We’ve moved the packages to servers that are running fine now, so downloads should work again. Really sorry you had to deal with that. Cash Reader update: we've done a major review of all the banknotes Cash Reader recognizes. We went through all 121 supported currencies and carefully compared them against central bank records. We tracked down and purchased every missing note, often with the help of blind communities in the countries where these notes circulate. The result is our most comprehensive banknote recognition update to date. And we're not done, more banknotes are on the way as we work towards covering every single note out there. Another month, another large update for banknotes in Cash Reader! We have just added support for several new banknotes: Argentine peso (20000), Moroccan dirham (20, 50), Hungarian forint (10000), Rwandan Franc (2000, 5000), and Ethiopian birr (5, 10, 50, 100). Plus, we are excited to announce the addition of a completely new currency: the Laotian Kip is now supported! A special shout-out goes to everyone who eagerly awaited the Argentine peso 20000 update! Our apologies for the long delay on the newest Hungarian forint 10000, as it was overlooked for far too long, but it is now available.
