A massive 'Thank you' to everyone who took part in #70up over the decades. I wasnt tearing up tonight until Jacquie lost it at the end. Being 70 myself, I can identify with them all, I want to give them all a big hug. @ITVX @ITV We need a show for each person's life now.

This is interesting discussion, just wish a couple more of the participants were involved

#70up I've always thought Bruce was the kindest man on the programme, loved the poem his dad sent him and that sad 7 yrold elf. Now he reminds me of a benign Dickens character @ITV

One of the Cheeryble brothers in Nicholas Nickleby I think.

@70up @ITV Its interesting to see how many of the 70yrolds don't seem to be enjoying retirement. Unlike me, I love my life at 70. Music, reading, the sea and friends are enough for me. Watching this show helps me see where I fit in and what changes my generation has lived through

#SevenUp @ITV @ITVHub_ is of particular interest to me, as was born 1956 too. Rewatching eps I see that participants were either upper class or working class. I am middle class, where were we? I have written a short version of my life at each age for comparison.

@greatesthitsuk Why does Ken Bruce sound so distant, like he's presenting with his head in a bucket? Very off putting 😞

Can't believe that Dolly Parton is dead at 80. I had no idea she was ill. Thank you, Dolly, for all your music, good deeds and for always being true to yourself. Another icon gone, how sad for us, not her.

That alert scared the shit out of me, just knocked over the disposable BBQ and now the garden's gone up in flames

I love watching 'A House Through Time' with @DavidOlusoga on @BBC It is always fascinating to see history played out through the lives of local people. Edinburgh looks majestic. If only history lessons at school had been this interesting. Excited to see all episodes.

Soon BBC 2 21:00 A House Through Time. David Olusoga and his team research the history of a house in Edinburgh to tell the personal histories of it's occupants over a 250 year period. #AHouseThroughTime #househistory #tracemyhouse

What will you remember from 'The Summer of '26'? I will remember how many ice poles I consumed!! Never usually buy them but at 75p, they're a bargain, extra long & remind me of my childhood. Cherry flavour is my favourite.

Is anyone else a bit blasé about this eclipse? I'm sure that I've witnessed previous eclipses over my lifetime, feeling a bit 'been there, done that'. I'm sure many will post lovely photos for us post eclipse...

youtu.be/NE20GvDohSc?is=TPc3… Interesting review of #TheOdyssey by @KermodeMovie in total agreement re Samantha Morton, like watching an NT production compared to local amdram. Not sure why we needed to hear about a completely off-piste book though! Ha.

It’s a good job I’ve got my spiritual socks on or that halftime entertainment could have tipped me over the edge

Wayne Rooney called it! What a tasteless star studded half-time 'entertainment'. Animal was my highlight. #Worldcupfinal Come back football!

What did I think of 'The Odyssey?' I am getting so old that I couldn't remember much from school but it didnt matter. Nolan's film is entertaining. Its not as great as all the hype but an epic nonetheless. Highlights: Samantha Morton as Circe & evil Robert Pattinson's Antinous.
