Under the guise of "advanced directives," critics warn the system is opening a terrifying backdoor that effectively lets medical institutions decide if and when to end a citizen's life. Slipping lethal execution protocols into a patient’s medical chart—collapsing the line between a standard Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) order and an active push for medical assistance in dying (MAID)—is a localized death sentence.
Giving hospitals the bureaucratic authority to decide when someone's "quality of life" has expired is an unspeakable violation of human rights. Bill C-41 is turning hospitals from places of healing into execution chambers. This is absolute insanity.
