Kids' discovery of milk that was "slimy, like snot" at a Baltimore county school leads to the revelation of "quality" issues, prompting Cloverland Farms Dairy to warn districts across Maryland to stop serving its chocolate & strawberry products bit.ly/3TYCJ1w @BaltCoPS
5th graders at @nwmmshartford got a hands on #STEM lesson from @UConnhealth today. As part of the Indoor Air Quality Project, they built and decorated their own air filters! The filter that looks like the White House will be delivered to the @WhiteHouse & @flotus! #STEM #WeAreHPS

Workers at the @MOMsOrganicMrkt (pictured with Baltimore Councilwoman Odette Ramos at center in red) at the Rotunda are voting on 8/26 on creating the company’s first union. The workers at this store do so much for our neighborhood; I hope they get everything they want.

I traded my blood, sweat, and tears to afford graduate school through Peace Corps and Americorps service. I am beyond excited for my fellow educators laboring under debt to gain any relief possible. You should care about other people.
In keeping with my campaign promise, my Administration is announcing a plan to give working and middle class families breathing room as they prepare to resume federal student loan payments in January 2023. I'll have more details this afternoon.

I can not explain how the decision to fail to address neglected tropical diseases troubles me. The arrogance to think diseases do not move with populations and that climate change will not make ranges expand weighs on me. We are not safe until we are all safe.

We need to get MD in the green before the next election cycle.
I've been tracking anti-transgender legislation for 3 years. I often get asked in DMs, "I live in x state, should I flee/transition/come out?" So I've decided to make a risk assessment for future anti-trans legislation. Here is a map, with an explainer thread. 🧵

This surge comes during a period of critical funding and staffing shortages for the Agency. The NLRB has received the same Congressional funding of $274.2 million for nine years as costs have risen. Adjusting for inflation, this is a budget decrease of 25% since FY2010.

Even if Long Covid risk is only 10% per infection (grey line), and 2 infections a year, your odds of getting Long Covid reach more than 50% in just over 3 years. If infection damages your immune system, as several studies suggest, it'll likely happen faster - or be worse.
