Seeing a lot of people trash modern Pokemon sealed collectors and investors lately. Might be time to start buying soon. Usually pays to do the opposite of whatever the loudest people are saying.

I wonder what price PSA will open value tier at. I am anticipating $30 but could be higher. They are going to get absolutely slammed with submissions regardless of what price they open it at - let's see how they handle this.. Should be open in 8-10 weeks.

eBay buyers' negotiation tactics always surprise me

Pokemon Center is cancelling a ton of 30th Anniversary orders. Guess they finally went after the bots, and some regular buyers got hit too.

It's hard being both a collector and seller. In some ways though, my inventory feels like my collection.

BGS Black Label prices are insane, as a lot of Black Labels don't even have perfect centering and could grade a PSA 9 on a bad day.

Even with all the automation these days that help with getting more TCG inventory live, packing & shipping and listing new inventory are still pretty big bottlenecks.

As much as I love collecting, sometimes I get random thoughts about selling it all.

I run Card Throne with a handful of Grok Bots. Each one owns a job. They don't all sit in one chat answering random questions. Scout does sourcing. Japanese inventory, carts, what to buy next. Grading plays and margins off my actual fees and costs. It never checks out. I still have to say purchase. Build is engineering. It only works on Card Throne Room, our seller tool. Scan a stack of cards, list to eBay, inventory management. When it's real code, it summons a cloud agent with pstack /poteto-mode. Throne runs the storefronts. Brings me the issues that actually have to move that day. Ledger does the books. Payouts, fees, receipts, the monthly P&L. Sentry monitors for any Card Throne Room bugs and pings Build if something needs fixed. Chief sits on top so I'm not pinging six bots to find out whose job a thing is. I still make the final calls.

Pokemon market has mostly cooled off other than low pop vintage slabs. For some reason those are going berserk.
