In short, imperialist propaganda instills a defeatist attitude that prepares us to accept, love, and defend the monstrously exploitative status quo. Communism teaches us that a better world is possible.

When the encampments for Palestine are facing police brutality and other forms of violence (which has happened at encampments all over Turtle Island) it is their right to fight back.
If they have the capacity, they should fight back against police violence, because that's how we keep each other safe. Tactics of active resistance like de-arrest are us keeping each other safe.
Should Haitians have peacefully protested their enslavement? No. They had no choice but to fight, as Palestinian Resistance and the Axis of Resistance have no choice but to fight against the zionist entity.
By using “the protest was peaceful” as a defense, we are condemning people, including colonized people, who fight to defend themselves against state violence.
I'm against using "the protest/encampment is peaceful" as a rhetorical defense. Think about what this implies. We're suggesting that if the protest/encampment was not peaceful, then it would be justified for the state to break it up, exercising their monopoly on violence.
