My students put together a #FirstGenDay event yesterday. Our program proudly celebrates that over 35% of our scholars are first gen. This is nearly double the institutional percentage. I'm first and will rep it forever! #HigherEd

Just my annual reminder to explain what we mean by "underrepresented students"...and not assume everyone in the room is on the same page about what that means in the particular institution, discussion, political moment and sentence where it is used. #HigherEd
