I knew the story - hugly tune imho, though :)
The PROJ 6.1 and GDAL 3.0 releases supported by gdalbarn.com greatly simplified coordinate system dictionary usage. The same approach should work in WebAssembly as well. If anyone is interested in taking PROJ 6 to WASM, I'd love to hear from you.
