When a tree dies, it continues to nourish the ecosystem: seedlings and fungi networks grow on these fallen logs. But when companies spray #glyphosate over logged areas they kill this #biodiversity. We need to end glyphosate us -- take action today 🔽 wildernesscommittee.org/GetR…

Let forests grow — ban glyphosate

Call on B.C. to ban glyphosate, a toxic spray that's killing our forests, today. It's time we let them grow.

So honoured to have received the Lieutenant Governor of Québec's Youth Medal in recognition of my social impacts during medical school @McGillMed. I'm thankful to @mcgillu for nominating me for this award and looking forward to continue serving Quebecers as a resident physician.

I’m a medical student in Alberta. Not a single one of my classmates are international students. 85% of my class is explicitly comprised of people from Alberta. If there is a doctor shortage, it’s because Alberta trained grads don’t want to work under a morally bankrupt gov. – at Calgary, Alberta

Instead of figuring out how to recruit more doctors... ... UCP candidate Scott Cyr says we have too many "foreign students" in medical schools?

Disappointing that climate has not been a bigger issue #AbElection2023 , especially given our wildfire disaster & its health toll. In an Op-Ed for @NatObserver, @DrKarinaPillay & I urge you to #voteforyourhealth! nationalobserver.com/2023/05… @cape_ab @CAPE_ACME

Clean air and bold climate action is health care

Climate-driven illness is increasing the strain on our overburdened health-care system and it is a direct threat to life.

Please stay safe, Calgary friends. "The air quality is so poor that even those without pre-existing health conditions could experience symptoms such as difficulty breathing, especially if you're doing strenuous activity outside." cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/w…

Wildfire smoke descends on Calgary, air quality index at 'very high risk' | CBC News

An air quality alert was extended Tuesday morning to cover the city of Calgary as smoke from wildfires burning across Western Canada has descended on parts of southern Alberta.

Yesterday I was asked: “what are the 5 things you think everyone needs to know?” So, I thought I’d share them here too: 1. This chart from the IPCC 6th Assessment Synthesis report, released this week, shows just how far away we are from limiting warming to below 2C: (1/11)
