Today, we’re thrilled to announce the expansion of our multisport operations at @LakePointSports.
@PrepBaseball has hosted signature tournaments at LakePoint since 2019. Our expanded role builds on that baseball foundation, creating opportunities to bring more sports and events to one of the nation’s premier youth sports destinations.
With a 170,000-square-foot indoor venue and three multi-use turf fields alongside its eight-field Baseball Village, the campus near Atlanta gives our experienced operators an exceptional setting to serve more athletes and families across the Southeast and from around the world.
We’re excited to build on what makes LakePoint special and deliver experiences families want to return to.

Capacity Sports Group has added the Champions Center Indoor Pavilion and Publix Fields to its growing portfolio of properties at LakePoint Sports, one of the nation’s premier youth sports destinations.
LakePoint Sports is located in Emerson, Georgia, about 40 miles northwest of Atlanta. Prep Baseball, which is part of Capacity Sports Group, has operated tournaments at LakePoint since 2019.
Capacity Sports Group now owns the 78-acre property comprising the Baseball Village and Publix Fields and holds a lease to operate the Champions Center.

What a weekend at the Annual Explorer Cup! ⚽🏆
From October 10–11, @sideline_soccer welcomed teams from across the region for two days of competitive youth soccer. By the numbers:
🔹 433 teams in attendance
🔹 723 games played
🔹 3,651 goals scored
🔹 7 venues utilized
🔹 55 fields, including 45 turf fields
🔹 5 states represented: PA, NJ, MD, DE & NY
Events of this scale only happen because of the people behind them. Thank you to every player, coach, family, referee, venue partner and staff member who made this year's Explorer Cup a success. 👏

One of the most interesting and active companies in youth sports reveals their strategy ♟️
@capacitysg recently acquired several operators and leagues after merging @prepbaseball and @Bullpenevents in January.
CEO Ken Kocher told Buying Sandlot, “We have an appetite to be in anything and everything that makes sense, is profitable and can be scaled nationwide."
But complex acquisition is not the main goal.
Says Kocher, "We’ll be opportunistic on that, but our mission is to go and partner with complexes and be able to bring content — tournaments, events, leagues — to those complexes to fill them."
Another thing that caught our attention is that after purchasing @Flagfootballife, CSG seems interested in flag football recruiting to go along with their recruiting infrastructure in baseball.
Definitely a company to watch going forward.
