God bless you @AliceMarieFree @realDonaldTrump and everyone involved who granted relief to 30 people, esp for Holly Frantzen’s commutation. She left prison in a wheelchair. God works through his servants and you are a mighty servant for mercy and restoration! Carry on! Special thanks to @UGCLRG who assisted with her petition.
Yesterday was a powerful day for second chances.
I am deeply grateful to President @RealDonaldTrump for granting clemency and pardons to 30 deserving individuals whose cases we carefully reviewed and brought forward—and to the White House Counsel team, led by Will Scharf, for the hard work behind these decisions.
Among them is Emory Jones, who served nearly 16 years in federal prison and came home determined to build a different life. Today he is an entrepreneur and creative leader whose journey reminds us how much people can grow—and how much good they can still do.
I am also especially grateful to our partners at clemency clinics across the country. Their thoughtful work helped us identify deserving candidates from many different walks of life, including women like Molly Ann Bloom, Holly Leanne Frantzen and Shemika Williams.
This work is both challenging and important. But ultimately, it is justice work—and, for me, Jesus work.
My prayer is that each of these 30 people makes the most of this extraordinary second chance and becomes a greater blessing to their families, communities and the world.
To God be the glory. 🙏🏽🇺🇸

I've written to Michael since 1994 when I was in prison. He would help me with my 2255 motion. I knew his mom who is now deceased. Thank you @POTUS for granting Michael's clemency as he's served 37 years and you've made many dreams come true! KUDOS to Sarah and David @GibsonDunn

Thank you @POTUS for commuting the sentences of 37 Death row individuals. This is what empathy is about and they will never forget this date! Please don’t forget those who were over- sentenced dating back to the 90s and the pot prisoners! @RachelBarkow

A grim reminder this 4th of July: The US has the highest incarceration rate of any independent democracy on Earth, making it a leader in mass incarceration.
Far too many people are locked up in the “land of the free.”
