The saddest consequence of Brexit may be the opportunities our children never realise they've lost.
The university they don't consider.
The job they never apply for.
The country they never make home.
You can't miss an opportunity you never knew you had.
But it's still a loss.

My article in @LabourList today examines the four main choices.
(Tomorrow I will look at the obstacles- real or imagined)

Today the Green party effectively voted for the abolition of the State of Israel.
A refugee who arrived here aged 6 out campaigning for another refugee who arrived here aged six. Sometimes there's poetry in politics...
Great to be back in Holborn and St Pancras, 75 years after I first canvassed here, to support the outstanding @Sagal_AW.
Looking forward to seeing you all again on polling day and to celebrating with you all!

You know that feeling when you book a flight for 50 quid and somehow it ends up costing 100?
Getting seats together, correcting a typo, another charge here and there, it all adds up.
When the cost of living is already squeezing people, those endless extras can feel relentless.
So we're changing the rules for you.
Parents won't need to pay a penny extra just to sit next to their own children.
You'll be able to fix any name errors on your booking free of charge.
And because the last thing you want once you're on the plane is more stress, we're working with the industry to make sure that disruptive passengers who have been banned from one airline can be banned from flying with other airlines too.
I know holidays are expensive and these are small things, but hopefully they'll make your trip just that little bit cheaper and easier.
That's exactly the kind of thing I want this government to keep on fixing.

Good to see Sadiq Khan making the case for our country having the closest possible relationship with the EU. Being outside has done us more harm than good.
Andy Burnham is right that ‘hope comes from honesty’.
That’s why Labour must make the case for rejoining the EU ⬇️

I'm so very sad to hear of the death of Esther Ranzen who played an important role in reuniting me with Nicky Winton - the man who saved my life.
It's so desperately sad that she couldn't choose assisted dying as was her wish.

Yay! Alf Dubs' autobiography is out and it's an uplifting read that will make you actually feel good about politicians (or this one at least)

A moving moment at the launch of Lord Alf Dubs' new memoir The Boy with a Knapsack at the Czech Embassy.
Born in Prague, saved by Kindertransport (and by Nicky Winton) and still building bridges between Czechia and the UK.

The Prime Minister is right: our water industry has become “a leaking monument” to an economic model that has too often put private profit before the public interest.
People are fed up with sewage, leaks and rising bills. We need a water system that works for communities first. It's time to renationalise our water industry.

I know you inherited your place in life Dom but for many of us, working hard and going to university is our only chance at making our lives better. Alas not everyone has the luxury of having privilege repeatedly mistaken for genius.

Lord Dubs was just six years old when he escaped Czechoslovakia following the Nazi invasion. He was one of 10,000 refugee children whose lives were saved by being taken in by Britain from 1938-39.

One of the most rewarding parts of being an MP is giving young people the opportunity to experience Parliament and see our democracy in action.
It was a pleasure to welcome Hope for work experience. Reading her reflections reminds me why these opportunities are so important.
Thank you, Hope, for your enthusiasm, curiosity and hard work. I'm delighted the experience has inspired your interest in politics, and I wish you every success for the future!

Brexit has been an act of enormous economic self-harm. It has damaged growth, reduced opportunities and left our country poorer.
A decade on, and with rising global instability, the argument for the UK to rejoin the EU has never been stronger ⬇️
