I quit my 6-figure job to build a SaaS.
After 7 weeks that SaaS makes $62k/mo.
This is how I got here:
At 13, I was coding RuneScape private servers in my bedroom.
Not for money... but for the thrill of building something people actually used.
That feeling stayed with me.
Fast forward through a Computer Science degree and landing my first job as a Software Engineer.
This is where the grind actually began.
I did everything you're supposed to do:
- Read books
- Took courses
- Built side projects
- Switched jobs for more pay
By 26, I had the setup people dream of:
- 33rd-floor apartment in Canary Wharf
- Balcony overlooking London
- Remote work
But, the novelty didn't last long.
I wasn't building anything real... just shipping code that didn't matter to me.
So I made a choice:
- I ended my apartment lease
- Moved back to my parents house
- Began testing out different business ideas
And 3 months later, I am:
- Co-founder of Kleo ($62k MRR)
- CTO of Mentions ($20k MRR)
- Travelling the world with my best friends
I have no idea where this journey will take me.
But I'm enjoying every second of it.
Update: We got it 😍
Just submitted kleo.so for the Claude Startup program.
But, I wonder how many people will actually get it.
Hoping it's not just some BS marketing scheme...

In other news, my little LinkedIn SaaS Kleo.so just crossed $1,000,000 in revenue (almost exactly 1 year after launch).
But what a wild journey so far:
> Started as a free Chrome extension
> Grew organically to 70,000 users
> LinkedIn sent us a cease and desist
> Killed the extension and almost quit
> Rebuilt everything from scratch
> Got @camtrew + @Laraacostar onboard
> Moved Kleo to a web platform
> Relaunched Kleo 2 in October 2025
> LinkedIn approved us as an official partner
> Launched Kleo 3 with a party in London
> Today the revenue ticked over $1M
Still feels like we're only just getting started.
JUST DON'T STOP.
I run my 2 businesses from a 16-inch laptop.
That small screen has opened up an entire world.
In the last year I've worked from 13 countries and 18 cities.
My team is spread across 5 countries, and my co-founders are my best friends.
And the businesses have grown faster than I ever imagined. All while I've been on the road.
None of it would exist without the same technology we all love to complain about.
We all have:
- Phones glued to our hands
- Brains fried by notifications
- A habit of checking our phones mid-meal
But sometimes I forget how mad it is that any of this is even possible.
15 years ago, a kid from the English countryside who taught himself to code would have had one path:
1. Move to a city
2. Sit in an office
3. Climb the ladder
Today you can land in a country where you know nobody, open your laptop, post online, and a few months later be building a business from the other side of the world.
I don't think we're grateful enough for how wild that is.
The internet is the most level playing field that's ever existed.
Where you're from doesn't decide your ceiling anymore. What you build does.
If you've been sitting on the idea of starting something online, this is your sign.
There's never been a better time to start.
Where are you in your journey?
PS: I share what I learn about AI and building businesses every week in my newsletter: camtrew.com
First we had AI chatbots, then agents like OpenClaw.
Now there's something even better...
Almost everyone uses Windows or Mac. Between them they have over 90% of the market.
While AI is completely changing the world we live in today, operating systems have largely remained the same.
But that may start to change...
Omarchy is a free, open source operating system built entirely around AI.
Here's everything you need to know:
1. You can ask AI to change anything
- Update your design with a prompt
- Add your own keyboard shortcuts and widgets
- Move things around however you want
2. It works with the AI tools you already use
- Claude, Codex, Gemini and more
- Shows how much AI usage you've got left
- Fixes things when they break
3. Setting it up is easy
- Download the file from the Omarchy website
- Copy it onto a USB stick, plug it in and install it
- It works on nearly any computer
To be totally transparent, it's probably for the tech nerds right now.
However, I see a future where everyone's computer works exactly how they want it to.
It's a really interesting space and one that I'm going to be keeping an eye on.
Would you be interested in an AI operating system?
We are staring at the BIGGEST opportunity since ChatGPT and the dot-com era. If you're seeing this right now, you're ahead of 99% of people.
This isn't just another AI trend post.
This is your heads up.
For those who haven't been following:
Hermes Agent is an AI agent that runs on a separate computer and can execute real tasks autonomously. It remembers everything and writes its own skills, so it gets smarter the longer it runs.
Pair it with an AI coding tool like Codex, and anyone can build a million-dollar company from their bedroom.
I can see a future where 1,000+ person companies are operated by 12 people and 4 Mac Minis.
This should excite you, not scare you.
Business owners: you need to be discussing how to implement this in your company...
Employees: start your side project now...
Here's how you should get started:
- Learn how to use Codex (works with your ChatGPT subscription)
- Start learning everything about Hermes Agent
- Begin building your personal brand with Kleo
This isn't going away.
You're looking at an opportunity.

3 months ago, I started taking my health seriously.
I'm a computer nerd... so let's just say it was a shock to the system.
Around 10 months ago, I quit my 9-5 to become an entrepreneur. My working hours went from 8 to 14 hours a day.
And over time my health became an afterthought.
My days looked like this:
- Waking up at 12 PM
- Working from my bed all day
- Eating nothing but fast/bad food
- Doing virtually no exercise at all
- Heading to bed around 4 AM every night
To be honest, I was fine with it. Everything got done. But it was pretty rough.
So I thought I'd try this "health stuff" everybody talks about online.
And now I get more done in 4 hours of deep work than I used to in 8.
All I actually changed was this:
- Always eat eggs for breakfast
- Just choose the salad for lunch
- Pick a dinner spot that's "semi" healthy
- Aim as best as I can for 8 hours of sleep
- Try my best not to work 1 hour before bed
- Always get in 60 minutes of exercise a day
It's not always possible, and I'm not going to pretend I always do everything.
But it's made a huge difference in the quality (maybe not quantity) of my work.
If you're a founder, a tech nerd, or somebody wondering if they can feel better, give it a go.
You'll thank me later.
PS: What does your routine look like?
I can’t stop thinking about this Tweet.
Everyone's building an AI company. But most don't realise they're actually in the data business.
Here are the 3 layers every AI business is built on:
1. Data
- Every AI model runs on data
- User behaviour tells you what to build next
- Data turns assumptions into decisions
- Data compounds over time
- The quality of your output starts with your data quality
2. Media
- A good product means nothing without distribution
- Your product can be copied, but your audience can't
- Good content works harder than any sales team
- Paid ads stop the moment you stop paying
- People buy from brands they trust
3. Product/Service
- This is where everything comes together
- Use your data to deliver what people actually want
- Your audience will leave if the product doesn't deliver
- Retention starts and ends here
- Happy customers become your best case studies
Most businesses get this order wrong.
They build the product first, figure out distribution later, then never think about the data.
What's your best tip for any of these layers?
I read Anthropic's new blog post "When AI builds itself", so you don't have to:
1. Claude is now building Claude
- Claude writes 80% of Anthropic's own code
- Engineers are 8x more productive than in 2024
- Claude did 4 years of human work in weeks
2. It's accelerating faster than expected
- Claude Mythos is 52x faster than a human researcher
- AI capabilities are doubling every 4 months
- Claude wins on research decisions 64% of the time
3. AI is getting out of control
- Anthropic wants a global pause on AI development
- They say AI is advancing faster than it's safe to handle
- But only if every other lab agrees to pause too
I'm not buying everything they're saying.
This is Anthropic on their high horse again. Call for a pause, look responsible, get the press coverage.
Realistically, nobody is pausing. The financial incentives are too big. They already built Claude Mythos, called it too dangerous to release, and are now dropping it in a few weeks.
The frustrating part is I do think a real pause makes sense. We're already seeing an insane amount of data leaks.
It's already out of hand. But I'm sure it could get a whole lot worse.
Do you think we should slow down AI development?
The most underrated business decision I've made is caring about where I work from.
People will buy every productivity tool out there before they think about where they actually sit and work.
Here's how I see it:
1/
Your environment sets your stress baseline. Everything else builds on top of that. Lowering that baseline makes everything easier to manage.
2/
Working in a different time zone to your team is a cheat code. Your mornings are completely untouched. Deep work gets done before anyone even wakes up.
3/
Travelling puts you in rooms with people you'd never normally meet. And some of those people will completely change how you think.
I'm not saying move to Bali. I'm saying care more about where you work from than you currently do.
Treat it like any other business decision. Because it is one.
50% of data centre projects are getting cancelled.
This isn't the AI bubble bursting. It's actually something a little more interesting.
In 2025, more money was committed to AI data centres than to building homes in the US.
In 2026, half of those projects have been cancelled or delayed.
Let me break it down:
1. The electrical grid can't keep up
- Data centres already use 2% of global electricity
- New data centres are being refused power
- You can't build what you can't power
2. Tariffs made the economics collapse
- Most data centre parts are made in China
- Tariffs doubled costs that were already rising
- Projects approved last year can't be funded now
3. Nvidia massively oversupplied the market
- Nvidia makes the chips that power data centres
- They built far more than the market actually needed
- Now they have 21M chips nobody is buying
None of this means the AI bubble is bursting.
The problems are real but they're all solvable.
The demand is still there. It's just waiting on the world to catch up.
Are you still bullish on AI?
The internet was a bubble, yet we know how that ended. Now everyone is debating whether AI is the same. Honestly, they're missing the point:
Anthropic: $965B valuation, $47B revenue
Walmart: $945B valuation, $713B revenue
On paper that makes ZERO sense.
But something is worth what someone is willing to pay.
And investors are willing to pay exactly that.
So why is that?
Because they're doing something that's never been done before. At a speed that's never been seen before.
And while everyone debates "if it's worth it", a small group of people are changing their families lives forever.
You can be the person who calls it a bubble.
Or you can be the person who builds an:
- AI SaaS that one person can run
- Agency that moves like a team of 100
- Enterprise business that does more with less
As cheesy as it sounds, the opportunity is real.
You just have to commit to it.
PS: What's stopping you?
