#ScreenshotSaturday New release of Open Sosaria! v0.6.0 is out now with audio across the whole game. Check it out on itch and give it a ⭐ on GitHub: Itch: camilo-delcodigo.itch.io/ope… Github: github.com/delcodigo/open-so… Right now the focus is on bugfixing and making sure the game is fully playable from start to end. Thinking of turning that gameplay into a YouTube series too! #indiedev #gamedev #ultima

More Ultima nudity based updates :D
Ultima 7 dynamic character clothing. Works with all items in Serpent Isle, plus all custom Exult additions. Also allows for dyes and custom alterations.

#screeshotsaturday Ultima IX: Quest of the Nudist There’s something deeply unsettling about the Avatar running around Britannia in nothing but boots and gloves while casually carrying a sword. #indiedev #gamedev #Ultima

Spent the last couple of days squashing bugs in my Ultima IX 1995 prototype recreation... but I still found some time to finally bake some bread in Britannia. #indiedev #gamedev #Ultima

Today on my Ultima IX reimplementation: doors are becoming proper interactable objects. They can now be opened, locked, and unlocked with keys. I also started working on the Avatar’s paperdoll. #indiedev #gamedev #Ultima

Back to work on my Ultima IX 1995 prototype remake. The inventory system is getting increasingly Ultima-like: bags can now go inside other bags, gold can be moved between containers, and you can choose exactly how much of a stack to transfer. #indiedev #gamedev #Ultima

#TurnBasedThursday If you’re still craving more Ultima, a couple of months ago I made Open Sosaria, an engine reimplementation of the original Ultima for the Apple II (1981). Play it on itch: camilo-delcodigo.itch.io/ope… Star it on GitHub: github.com/delcodigo/open-so… #indiedev #gamedev #Ultima

Ultima IX: Hoarder Edition Inventory interactions are starting to come together: objects can now be picked up from the world, dragged around inside the inventory, dropped back into the world, and rotated before placement. So now you can carry half of Britannia in your pockets. Just be careful where you put those tiny keys. #indiedev #gamedev #Ultima

Today in my Ultima IX 1995 prototype reconstruction: you still can’t bake bread, but you can move the furniture around and enjoy a nice meal outside. #indiedev #gamedev #Ultima

A bit more work on my recreation of the 1995-97 Ultima IX prototype. I’ve moved the assets into Godot and now have the player walking and running with keyboard and mouse controls, plus camera rotation around the vertical axis. #indiegame #gamedev #Ultima

I wasn't expecting the last post to get much traction, the 1995–97 Ultima IX prototype is pretty niche, even by Ultima standards 😅 But it did, so I went a bit further and added the exterior props around the house, using another screenshot of the same location as reference. #indiedev #gamedev #ultima

Saw a screenshot of the original Ultima IX prototype, back when it was still isometric, and decided to try replicating it. Not 1:1, of course, but I feel like there could have been a cool game in a top-down Ultima 8.5 engine. #indiedev #gamedev #ultima @ultimadragons

Another week working on my x86_64 assembly JRPG. This week I got the dialogue system working. Next I want branching choices, questions you can learn and ask, and eventually shop menus. ⭐️Star it on Github: github.com/delcodigo/Open-Fa… #indiedev #gamedev #jrpg #assembly

Another week building a JRPG in x86_64 assembly 🧑‍💻 This week I started working on NPCs: some stay put, some wander around, and they turn to face you when you interact with them. Hopefully I’ll finish dialogue soon, I just have to draw all the glyphs first 🔠 ⭐️ Star it on Github: github.com/delcodigo/Open-Fa… #screenshotsaturday #indiedev #gamedev #assembly

You start learning x86_64 assembly: “Oh, it’s just C with extra steps. No biggie.” Then you revisit a function: “Wait… r11 was already doing something.” Nevermind. Assembly IS hard… and slow to develop. Who would’ve thought? 😅 Anyway, #ScreenshotSaturday: Open Fantasy moves forward! The player can now walk around a test map with the camera following. ⭐ Star it on GitHub: github.com/delcodigo/Open-Fa… #indiedev #gamedev #assembly
