The primary benefit to sitting in premium/first class is being able to work. And if the internet sucks (as it often does) it makes that next to impossible. Starlink is 100x better than anything else I’ve experienced on a flight.

Thank you, @paulg!
I've been talking to a YC founder who's 15 years in and still doing big new things. One of the biggest popular misconceptions about startups is that founders have a brilliant idea, then implement it. In fact more often than not the biggest idea comes later.

I'm not sure what's more disruptive: not having internet or running out of token budget.

Spend however much you want on marketing. Experiment and explore. But in the end, it’s word of mouth that matters most. Nothing else is as meaningful, or durable.

Compliance is THE sleeper hit of enterprise AI. a16z makes a sharp case that the 'boring' regulatory and risk layer is one of the most defensible markets builders can go after. Worth a read for anyone watching where rea… a16z.news/p/everything-every…

Has AI flooded us with polished takes while real progress stalls? 🤔 HBR makes the case for operators who build over those who just broadcast. Worth a read.

The US AI boom has a hardware problem: US imports of major electrical equipment rose +4.7% YoY in 2025, to $411 billion. This equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and batteries, is needed to power the data centers that run AI systems. Since 2020, imports have risen +$180.8 billion, or +78%. The surge has been driven by AI companies racing to build data centers as domestic manufacturing cannot keep up with demand. As a result, ~50% of all US data centers planned for 2026 are expected to be delayed or canceled because this equipment is in shortage. We need more hardware.

Playing the long game gives you such an advantage over competitors. Hardly anyone else is doing it. They haven't chosen not to. They just haven't explicitly thought about the question, and the default is not to.

What is the state of trust on social media? How can brands build trust and navigate pitfalls? What's in store for 2024? These were the topics Sandrine from Khoros and I chatted about last week during a joint webinar. bit.ly/3RLiGEU

A study used cell phone data to measure the number of workers going into city centers. No city has a busier downtown than before Covid. San Francisco and Portland have rebounded the least.

When LinkedIn Elevate shut down in 2021, LinkedIn redirected that traffic to EveryoneSocial. Why? 1. Because EveryoneSocial is the top advocacy platform on the market 🥇 2. Because switching to our platform is EASY 🫰 bit.ly/3ZvrvVx
