Concern Grows for Missing Waterford Teen: Fresh Public Appeal for Information on Abbie Reid
Gardaí in Waterford are renewing their appeal for public help in locating 15-year-old Abbie Reid, who has been missing from the Tramore Road area since Tuesday afternoon, 14 July 2026.
Abbie was last seen in the vicinity of Tramore Road, Waterford. She is described as approximately 5 foot 5 inches (165 cm) tall, with brown eyes and long brown hair. When last seen she was wearing blue shorts, a blue top, white runners and a white jacket.
Gardaí have expressed concern for Abbie’s welfare and are urging anyone who may have seen her, spoken to her, or who has any information about her whereabouts, no matter how small it may seem, to come forward immediately.
A Garda spokesperson said: “We are very concerned for Abbie’s well-being and we need the public’s help. If you have seen Abbie or know anything about her current location, please contact us without delay. Time is critical.”

Just to say... Alex was a truly wonderful person by all accounts. It is important to keep this post and all comments about HIM. Please. For this one post. Do this in memory of Alex. Because one cruel and final indignity that is visited upon those who have had their lives stolen is the fact that the unforgivable act can end up defining that person in the public eye by that very act itself. Who the person was can be lost amidst the tragedy. Alex was someone I would have loved to know. I wish I'd had that great privilege and I know he comes from an amazing family. They will read these comments most likely. So please be mindful of that.

Please do not stop talking about Irishman Alex Coughlan who was murdered last week in Dublin.
The media say the attackers are an Irish boy and a boy with dual nationality, although a video of the attack posted by the "boys" in question seems to contradict that completely.
They look more like ruthless foreign killers than "boys."
We don't know their names and we don't have their images, because child protection laws in Ireland prevent that information from going public.
The world's attention was on Ireland for a week for an apparent racial murder of a Congolese man, which turned out to be entirely untrue. The post mortem showed no physical injuries.
But Alex Coughlan was murdered.

Gardaí are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of Alisha Doran (17) who is reported missing from Ashbourne, Co. Meath, since Thursday 26th March 2026.
Alisha is described as being approximately 5" 4' in height, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
It is believed that Alisha may have travelled to the Bray area in Co. Wicklow.
Gardaí are concerned for her well-being.

All the men who survived the USS Liberty are asking for is the right to tell the truth in front of Congress and the American people. That’s it. Not revenge, not money, not politics. Truth.
On June 8, 1967, a clearly marked U.S. Navy ship was attacked, killing 34 American sailors and wounding 171 others. The men who lived through it carried their wounded shipmates, fought to save a crippled vessel, and then were ordered into silence. For decades, they kept quiet not by choice, but by command.
Today, those survivors are in their 70s, 80s, and 90s. Time is running out.
They are not asking Congress to assign blame or the public to pick sides.
They are asking for the chance to testify, to place the facts on the record, and to be heard before they are gone.
If this country truly stands for truth, accountability, and honoring those who serve, then allowing these men to speak should be the easiest decision of all. Let them testify. Let the record be complete. Let history be honest.
