It's because only 1% of businesses even know how to redesign the workflow to make it useful in this age.
My favorite thing to do is to take young people in the office to a cubicle and show them this ancient runestone called an inbox tray.
I describe to them how their ancestors used to print things out and put the paper there for people to read, off a screen.
They rightly point out how inefficient that is, because our networks are distributed.
And then I remind them that us uncs designed the whole system of work to be just like that, but on computers.
Time to invent something completely different than the wheel we keep reinventing.
Because where we're going, we don't need roads.

Unpopular opinion: There is no greater time to be alive than right now. The good old days were outhouses, no electricity, wagons, saddle sores, and worse.

I find it fascinating how many people think this is a bad time to start a company.
Grok 4.7, GPT-6 Sol/Luna, Opus 5.5, Astra, Gemini 3.8 Live, Muse, Instinct, Jev, Agent APIs etc. That's the last 3 weeks (crazy progress on personal agents/voice AI).
Because arbitrage means the same thing trades at 2 prices in 2 markets (and it's your wedge).
And usually you have to hunt for those gaps, because they're rare and they close the moment anyone notices.
What's different now is that they're opening faster than anyone can build into them!
I think this has got to be the greatest time for arbitrage in history.
You can just do cool things.
Today, Pioneer Labs is announcing our first step towards terraforming Mars. 🚀🌼

Whatever you are studying, always keep a parallel portfolio of the things you create. A research result. A robot. A company. A piece of hardware. The world is becoming more interested in evidence of agency.
Freaking check the work, man. It’s not that hard.
I went to an AI conference today, and here’s what I learned:

1. The run of the mill, old-fashioned IT guys are woefully behind.
I have a friend that runs a large IT company, and he has told me before that his IT staff is reluctant to learn AI.
This is absolutely true. All… yes… ALL of the IT guys over 30 that I talked to today were just there to get CEUs for their job. They couldn’t care less about AI.
2. College kids are an untapped goldmine.
I had the opportunity to talk to several college students about AI and the future. I asked them what they are building and what excites them.
Most of the responses that I received were incredible, creative, and had real potential.
3. The college kids were so conditioned to get the degrees first that I fear they will miss the golden age we live in right now.
I heard from several students that they were waiting until they got their PhD in order to take their idea outside of their friend group.
It was like they didn’t have permission to think for themselves yet. It was incredibly disturbing to hear them tell me about how their ideas don’t matter since they are still in school.
BOTTOM LINE: If I need a tech guy in the near future, I’m hiring a college student. Also, we need to reconsider the value of degrees while we live through the singularity.
This, my friends, is way bigger than having a robot fold your laundry.
If we now have predictable scaling laws for robotics… it’s game on for a humanoid future.
