Merkel prägte den Grundsatz, Israels Sicherheit sei Teil deutscher Staatsräson. Politiker haben ihn oft wiederholt, ohne ihn genauer zu erklären. Baerbock wird nun erstaunlich konkret und stellt einen Vier-Punkte-Plan für die Zukunft von Gaza vor.

Apparently these things need to be clarified for the media and Israeli audiences:
- Iranians are not an Arab people
- The language of Iran is Farsi not Arabic
- Iran did not launch a war on Israel, the Islamic Republic did
- The majority of the Iranian people hate the regime and many have died fighting against it.

As an Iranian I strongly condemn the drone and missile attack by Islamic regime against Israel. Now, there is no excuse for the EU not to designate the Islamic Republic Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist organization. This regime is causing massive suffering in the region. Iran is my home, the place where I grew up, went to school, and fell in love. It’s where my beloved mom and family reside. Yet, the Islamic government, a terrorist regime, has ravaged countless lives, showing no mercy even to its own people. Now, as they celebrate attacks on Israel, it’s clear they have no sympathy for the suffering they inflict.
I dream of a day when Iran and the Middle East are free from the grip of war and tyranny. And that will not happen until the day when we get rid of the warmongers regime in Iran.
