we built muse from scratch, but it is definitely heavily inspired as a product by openclaw. After I used openclaw in january I bought hundreds of mac minis for the MSL team and lots of us fell in love with using openclaw (and other personal agents). @steipete is a genius and his harness was pioneering from the jump. I think a lot of people were inspired by it. our goal with muse was to build something like openclaw that we could make safe and secure and easy to use and scale to billions of people.
This can be very exciting. More Linux in the hands of people.

So it was a data exfiltration issue. Why was this necessary in the first place? It’s kind of like malware.
Open sourcing it doesn’t mean much of anything though - even though we say many eyes make shallow bugs.
In response to the ZCode product security issues reported by the community, we have completed the necessary remediation and sincerely apologize to all our users.
We have open-sourced ZCode at github.com/zai-org/ZCode, placing the code under community scrutiny and making ZCode more open and transparent.
We sincerely thank the community developers who previously identified issues in ZCode. Going forward, we will establish an ongoing product security vulnerability reporting and response process. We welcome developers to continue reviewing ZCode and reporting potential issues, and we will provide rewards based on the severity of the issues reported.
With respect to the code data referenced by the community, we confirm that no such data is retained and that it has never been used for model training.
Following the remediation, we invited the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) and NSFOCUS to conduct security assessments. The results are as follows:
Through its technical assessment, CAICT confirmed that the zcode-prod Alibaba Cloud OSS bucket is in a zero-data state. Security remediation has been completed in the ZCode v3.14.0 client. The Repo Wiki feature has been removed, and the workflow for generating and uploading local repository snapshots has been disabled.
NSFOCUS confirmed that all data objects in the zcode-prod Alibaba Cloud OSS bucket, as well as the bucket itself, have been deleted. Remediation has been completed in the ZCode v3.14.0 client. The Repo Wiki entry point and the associated generation workflow have been removed, and no functional path capable of triggering the generation of local repository snapshots or transmitting local files externally was identified.
Once again, we sincerely apologize and welcome continued scrutiny from the community. The full security assessment report will be released soon.

This is a very good read from @AirEVthingTRNSP on the AirAsia situation. Didn't realise that they have fallen behind on payments from a June report (linked in article, but seeing Rolls-Royce talk about delayed payments for a maintenance package for jet engines is worrisome).
AirAsia had RM954m in cash & equivalents, one of the lowest balances tracked by Bloomberg, for airlines globally. Also strange how AirAsia only operates 161 planes, out of the 239 in its fleet.

Say what we want about AirAsia, but I think it would be a net loss if we lost this carrier of importance.
AirAsia is 40% of Malaysia's aviation market, and 60% of the domestic market. They fly routes that no one else does sometimes - KUL - CXR, KUL - LOP, KUL - HDY, etc. They also employ over 18,000 people worldwide!
Tony Fernandes is also a showman, and maybe a shrewd businessman. His oil hedging bet/mistake might be something we might forget down the line. If they survive.

Meta engineer using Muse to save money on an Internet bill. I can only imagine we'll see a lot of this, even from Grok Bot. And in the very near future our phone numbers will route thru this, and prevent us from having scam callers

Today I had it call Xfinity to haggle down my internet bill. it got through the phone tree to a human, hit the verification text it couldn't read, and patched me in live!! For a minute it was the muse agent, me and the Xfinity rep who had no idea it was an agent.
Combined bill savings were $85.30/mo locked for 5 years so around $5118 over the time period.
BUT seeing the call transcript with the Xfinity agent chatting with Muse agent (Hailey) is incredible! Saved me so much time!
