Researchers in @byneuron's lab at the LSI first developed LabGym to overcome challenges in analyzing fruit fly behavior.
Now this open-source software has expanded to support research for thousands of scientists across five continents—from @jjemrick's efforts to understand pain sensation and behavior in @UMichDentistry, to @cedricsueur's studies of social roles in wild Japanese macaques.

The LSI's 2026 #CryoET Workshop wrapped up yesterday, capping four days of hands-on learning and networking.
Thank you to all the presenters and scientists from around the country who attended and made the event such an informative and collaborative experience!
Thanks also to our event sponsors; @DDNintelligence, @GatanMicroscopy, @MiTeGen and @thermofisher

Punch is a Japanese macaque at Ichikawa City Zoo who went viral carrying a stuffed orangutan around. We used him as a test case for LabGym - and the results were surprisingly clean.
We used the AI-powered tool LabGym to analyze the behavior of Punch 🐒—a Japanese macaque at Ichikawa City Zoo who recently became a social media sensation.

I’ve been having so much fun designing covers for @theblockm & @michigandaily ! Shoutout to the football beat and photo staff for the amazing coverage and content! Here are the front covers from the past few weeks, including @UMichFootball’s most recent win against the Spartans👇
Despite a rough start against rival @MSU_Football, @UMichFootball revitalized its offense in the second half to bring the Paul Bunyan Trophy back to Ann Arbor for the fourth straight year.
This week’s front cover: Justice Is Served.
