One Qlik tenant, two fully customized hubs. Different brands, different content, same source, no duplicated apps.
That’s NewHub for Qlik Cloud, now running @AnyChart's own environment.
Want to poke around? DM me and I’ll send you access.
The pitch for self-service BI sounds great, but - as the saying goes - theory is one thing, and practice is another.
Now, imagine you’re a business analyst - a standard Qlik user who relies on the tool for analyses prepared by a more technical colleague from your company’s data team.
What if - without any technical knowledge of Qlik - you could connect to data from a Qlik dashboard (or multiple dashboards) and easily create your own dashboards? You could choose any format- a presentation (storytelling, like in the video), a report, or something else entirely. You simply drop in a reference screenshot and make a request... and the rest is generated live. Plus, you can share these insights with your coworkers.
This video shows the testing environment for the new features we’re building weekly in NewHub for Qlik Cloud. 🥁🥁🥁🥁

#qlik #qliksense #clusterask
O chamado é aberto segunda de manhã. A resposta chega terça.

Qlik is licensed, the dashboards are built, and on Monday the manager still opens the spreadsheet.
9 strategies to change that, ordered from what works in weeks to what takes structural change: newhub.com/en/blog/engage-yo…
Twelve years later, Cluster gets a new look
Cluster has a new visual identity, a new website, and a new domain: bycluster.com. This is the first rebrand since our founding in 2014, and the reason is less aesthetic than it might seem: what we do today no longer fits into the brand we designed back then.
In 2014, Cluster entered the BI market to fix a specific gap in the value chain. Traditional consultancies did solid ETL and modeling, but what reached the decision-makers on the front end rarely did justice to all that behind-the-scenes work. Our job was the output—taking UX, UI, and data visualization seriously in a space that still treated them as optional.
Two things have changed since then.
First is AI, which has become part of our internal routine as well as the projects we deliver—like our custom agents that interact with BI tools. We’ve matured technically alongside market models, and we view this demand not as a plug-and-play solution, but as a project that requires a human layer to actually work, including context adjustments, assumptions, and other refinements.
Second, UX for data analytics is no longer synonymous with screens. We now design solutions where information arrives via text, voice, an agent’s response, or a portal that needs to work with a screen reader for someone who will never look at a chart. This changes the craft: hierarchy without color, comparison without axes, reading order without a visual layout. It is design work all the same, and harder than a dashboard.
What hasn’t changed is in our manifesto and in our website’s domain name. Every client comes with their own vocabulary and rules that only make sense in their context, so every project starts from scratch—no templates, no assembly lines.

Many companies have OEM/ISV partnerships with Qlik and offer the visualization layer of their products to end customers. But as soon as they embark on this journey, they realize that customizing Qlik is more than just a partnership requirement. It's also a powerful driver of customer retention and engagement.
NewHub solves the challenge of creating a customized Qlik experience for end customers. We have published an article focused on this use case.newhub.com/en/blog/qlik-oem-…

Three routes to a Qlik data portal that carries your own brand: native personalization (themes, app styling, Brands API), a mashup built on the platform APIs, or a consumption layer on top of Qlik Cloud.
We wrote about what each one actually costs to run: newhub.com/en/blog/how-to-bu…

We published three customer cases on the NewHub site, and writing all three in sequence made something obvious about how similar their starting points were, because each of these organizations had already invested in Qlik, each had a team capable of building reliable applications, and each reached the point where the bottleneck was no longer analysis but consumption, since most of the people who need those numbers are not analysts and will not go looking for them on their own.
Mersy, a French consultancy specialized in optimizing IT and software contract costs for large corporations, delivers analytics to its own clients under the Mersy brand, integrated with its CRM and ticketing system. Its client base sits in the CAC 40 and in companies above five thousand employees, with individual accounts reaching ten thousand users. Stephane, founder and CEO, organized the entire application and menu structure in a single day, and the platform has been in production for three years.
MDS Group, an insurance broker and risk manager operating across Brazil, Portugal, Angola and Mozambique, consolidated dozens of applications that had been scattered across different platforms into one consumption layer carrying the company's own identity, with the existing access rules preserved in full, and recorded 400% growth in usage over twelve months. Erick, Business Intelligence Superintendent, makes a point that stayed with us, which is that adoption should be measured by whether the user made a decision, closed business or resolved a question, and not by how long they stayed inside the tool.
FIEG, an industry federation in the state of Goiás, Brazil, operating through Sesi and Senai, already had the dashboards it needed, and its licensed user base went from 50 to 250 in one year once the information started arriving organized, with precise control over who sees what, and after a design project built on top of its strategic view.
Three distinct commercial motions, one distributing information internally across a multinational, one delivering analytics to external clients, and one expanding the licensed base inside a single organization, all resolved by the same consumption layer sitting on the Qlik environment each of them already had.

"Qlik Hub alternative" is one of the queries Qlik Cloud customers in Brazil keep typing into search, and the question behind it is a legitimate one with a specific answer.
The Hub does exactly what it was designed to do, which is give analysts one place to find, open, publish and govern apps with permissions inherited from the tenant. What changes is the audience, since most licensed users in a mature deployment were never analysts, and a manager who needs one number before a nine o'clock meeting behaves nothing like the person who built the app.
That difference shows up as a pattern: tickets to the BI team for questions the dashboard already answers, business users still asking for spreadsheets over email, and reports that have to reach external clients under the company's own brand. All of it points to the consumption layer, which is where the fix belongs.
Our new article compares the four routes companies take (mashups, custom portals, external BI platforms, and branded portals built natively on Qlik Cloud), the maintenance costs that rarely enter the first budget, and the criteria that should drive the choice, starting with governance inherited through OAuth instead of reconfigured from scratch.
NewHub sits in that last category, as a consumption layer that keeps Qlik Cloud as the analytical environment for analysts and gives everyone else a branded, simpler place to ask a question. Cluster has been building on the Qlik engine since 2014 and works as a Qlik Technology Partner.
How does your company balance governance and consumption experience?

Do you actually know if your executives are opening the dashboards your data team spent weeks building? 🤔
BARC Research reveals that 8 out of 10 BI dashboards are eventually abandoned. And the first ones to walk away are often the very leaders the strategic dashboards were built for.
That turns your Qlik Cloud investment into a sunk cost. And "data-driven" into an empty buzzword.
Real BI ROI is measured in decisions made with data, not in dashboards published.
To get there, you need to face three realities:
🧟 Strategic dashboards nobody opens consume server memory, pollute your hub, and deliver zero value.
💸 Paid licenses assigned to inactive users are pure waste.
📊 Without real usage metrics (WAU, sessions by profile, engagement by department), you are managing blindly.
If your leadership is not using the data, the problem is rarely the dashboard. It is adoption.
At your company, does anyone track whether executives are actually opening the strategic dashboards?
........
16% adoption rate. Only 5 out of 31 users with access actually opened this app.
That is the kind of visibility most BI teams do not have, but should.
BI Tracker measures real adoption, not just access counts.
