My currently goal is to brand our locally running micro-services software as running "in the fog". The cloud is remote, the fog is local.
After years of saying I am wanted to go to GDC its finally happening. I bite the bullet and bought my ticket :)
It's been such a blast hanging out in Stockholm for the last two weeks. Getting to meet so many smart people at DICE and just hanging and be social. The city is super pretty, but the sun going down before 3pm is a bummer
Doing my first business work trip in over 3 years. Heading to Stockholm for two weeks. Super excited for the trip
The number of times I have seen Tech Artists do HTTP requests using Curl within Python makes me cry.
Doing the last day touch ups on my submission to do a talk at #gdc. I shooting for the tools submit but unfortunately that is not happening next year. Hopefully they like my pitch :)
I very much enjoy the fact that the #Quebec program for learning french website is only in french.
Every 4th post is an add for some product I would never want for a website no one has every heard of. It's really gone done hill
It's a finding bugs with the #jira api type of day. At least I have Postman to make testing simpler
I use #MSBuild a lot in our projects to help simplify workflows for developers working in Visual Studio. The only problem is I am on the only one on the team that understands it. The application I am working on is super modular and most features are plugins.
For example often times when working on projects like this, you have to build the whole solution. If a user forgets their are loading an out of date plugin. Instead I add this to the root project. Now building the main projects builds every plugin excluding tests
Month 6 of our "3 Month" kitchen renovation and our contractor has stopped responding to our messages. Renovations are always so stressful.
Today was a documentation day. That just means I sit and write something and then spend double the time thinking that what I wrote make no sense.
Documentation is hard. At least when it's in Markdown it's less painful than using Confluence.
