Obama: It's a "basic principe of democracy" to not prosecute the other party 🤡
🤖 Made with AI
It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.
To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically.
Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country.
Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case.
Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve.
In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota.
The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

I went on @BBCNewsnight and enraged all the usual radical-left loons stating these simple facts:
~1.85m foreign nationals claim £23 billion in welfare each year in Britain
~ 1.3m foreign nationals claim £11.9billion of Universal Credit
Britain must put the British people first
**Britains tax burden is the highest it’s been since the War (1948 to be exact)**
If you want to lift people up, you have to create wealth. You have to incentivise work. Which means tax them less.
Anyone who runs a business knows this.
Since then, far-left X has launched a series of ad-hominem attacks. Some even saying these ideas are “extreme far-right”
None of them have addressed the substance of my arguments.
Instead they are trying to shame me for being in one of the most successful bands of last 20 years, whilst ignoring that I have one of the biggest independent politics podcasts in Britain.
And ignoring that I’ve generated 10s of £millions in wealth and taxes for the economy, created 1000s of jobs, and built several successful companies.
Likewise they think that I might be anything but immensely proud to be associated with my own dad, one of the most successful businessmen and generous individuals this country has produced since the War, and his association with GB News, officially the most viewed and trusted news channel in the country.
He’s a hero.
Thanks to Newsnight for having me!

WSJ: A Princeton PhD in chemical engineering applied to 2,300 jobs, ranging from postdoctoral fellowships to corporate science jobs and software engineering positions. He still hasn’t found a job. 34% of Americans surveyed by Gallup in August said it was a good time to find a quality job.
Meanwhile, Congress is fixated on finding a way to pass a bill that staples green cards to any international student who earns a PhD in the United States.
We should start by asking why our own graduates can’t find jobs before importing more workers.

This cannot be real.

🚨 DISNEY CUTS HUNDREDS OF JOBS. THEN HIRES THE CEO AND 66 EMPLOYEES FROM A BANKRUPT AI COMPANY.
And commits an estimated $180 MILLION over three years.
Here’s what makes this story remarkable.
CharacterAI filed for bankruptcy amid mounting financial losses, regulatory pressure and lawsuits alleging its chatbots contributed to self-harm and suicides involving minors.
Disney’s response?
• Hired CharacterAI CEO Karandeep Anand as its first company-wide Chief Technology Officer.
• Put him in charge of technology, AI platforms, product and engineering across Disney.
• Recruited 66 CharacterAI employees.
• Committed approximately $180 million in compensation and retention over three years.
• Agreed to bid $20 million to license certain CharacterAI technology.
• 10 incoming employees were awaiting immigration processing, including workers in H-1B, TN and F-1 categories.
Meanwhile, Disney recently eliminated hundreds of jobs, including technology positions.
The allegations against CharacterAI do not establish wrongdoing by the employees Disney hired.
But two questions deserve answers.
How many of Disney’s displaced American technology workers were considered for these positions?
And what did Disney’s leadership learn from CharacterAI’s safety and business failures before putting its former CEO in charge of technology across the company?

Raise the $60,000 value in H-1B DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. They could raise it to $600,000,000,000,000,000 and it would still do nothing. The lobbyists who wrote this are 12 steps ahead.

🚨 NEARLY 1 MILLION H-1B AND L-1 WORKERS IN AMERICA. AND ORGANIZED LABOR IS SOUNDING THE ALARM.
THIS ISN’T COMING FROM AN ANTI-IMMIGRATION ORGANIZATION.
It’s coming from an AFL-CIO-affiliated labor organization representing more than 4 MILLION union members.
Its February 2026 report reveals:
• H-1B: Approximately 600,000 workers
• L-1: An estimated 310,000–337,000 workers
• COMBINED: 910,000–937,000
WHAT IS L-1?
L-1 visas allow multinational companies to transfer employees from overseas offices into their U.S. operations.
• L-1A: Executives and managers
• L-1B: Workers with specialized company knowledge
And here’s what most Americans don’t realize.
① L-1 has NO annual numerical cap.
② L-1 has NO occupational prevailing-wage requirement.
③ Most H-1B employers aren’t required to recruit qualified Americans first.
④ In FY2019, 60% of H-1B positions were assigned the two lowest prevailing-wage levels.
⑤ In 2022, nearly 40% of cap-subject H-1B visas went to just 30 employers, including 17 primarily outsourcing companies.
⑥ Disney replaced approximately 250 American IT workers in 2015 with workers employed by H-1B contractors.
⑦ UCSF eliminated nearly 100 IT positions in 2017 in an outsourcing arrangement involving H-1B workers.
⑧ Internal HCL documents cited in litigation estimated more than $95 MILLION annually in potential labor-cost savings from lower-paid H-1B workers.
⑨ The report documents cases of American workers being required to TRAIN their foreign replacements before receiving severance.
⑩ L-1 employment has far less public wage transparency than H-1B, making oversight particularly difficult.
And what does organized labor want?
• Recruit qualified Americans first.
• Prevent displacement of American workers.
• Strengthen wage requirements for H-1B and L-1.
• Increase enforcement and accountability.
For years, the debate has focused almost exclusively on H-1B.
But there’s another enormous guest-worker program operating with fewer wage safeguards, no annual cap, and significantly less transparency.
And now organized labor is raising concerns about BOTH.
This isn’t simply an immigration debate.
It’s about American jobs, wages, outsourcing, and whether employers should have to demonstrate a genuine labor shortage before bringing foreign workers into the country.

🚨 ANOTHER PUBLIC AMERICAN UNIVERSITY IS PAYING TO RECRUIT FOREIGN STUDENTS.
And this time, the contract ceiling is $3.5 MILLION.
Texas State University has authorized an international student recruitment contract targeting:
• India
• Bangladesh
• Nepal
• Vietnam
• Ghana
The original contract ceiling was $999,999. It was increased to $3.5 million, including renewals.
Meanwhile, international enrollment has exploded:
2022: 738 students
2026: 2,222 students
That’s a 201% increase.
And the university’s long-term goal? 5,000 international students.
These students may eventually qualify for OPT, allowing them to work in America after graduation, with qualifying STEM graduates potentially eligible for three years.
How much are public universities paying overseas recruiters to bring students into a pipeline that can lead directly into the American labor market?
And who is tracking the outcomes?
