Scores of residents of the tony Baner-Balewadi area braved the first monsoon showers and took to the streets on Saturday to register their protest against Pune Municipal Corporation and Smart City officials who, according to them, have been ignoring their pleas for basic civic amenities for years.
“This is an ‘Enough-is-Enough’ campaign to voice our concerns over the inaction by the authorities concerned. We have a consolidated data of all societies who have issues and will submit the same to the PMC commissioner,” Balewadi Welfare Federation (BWF) committee member Ameya Jagtap told Mirror.

Ongoing @MetroPuneri work is adding to the Traffic deadlock at Balewadi High Street on weekends. This needs to be addressed and monitored by @PuneCityTraffic on priority. Local residents demand strict action on random and irresponsible halting of cabs and auto’s @CPPuneCity
