Check out this @Ipsos poll from last month. People who answered factual questions about inflation, crime, and immigration incorrectly were "more likely to opt for Trump," Ipsos said, while those who answered correctly preferred Harris. ipsos.com/en-us/link-between…

I’m re-upping my article on what happened when Hitler was sworn in as a weak chancellor swearing to uphold the constitution, but collapsed democracy within 2 months anyway.

🧵What (Really) Happens If Trump Wins?
Like Hitler, Trump Has Made Clear His Plan is Dictatorship, Not Democracy
January 30th 1933 dawned cold and clear in Berlin as Adolph Hitler took his oath of office and promised Germans he would uphold the constitution. It would ultimately take him less than 30 days to dismantle it.

The story that John F. Kennedy beat Richard Nixon in the 1960 election because he looked healthier during their TV debates is largely a myth. So what’s the truth? #RUSCI #JMS Prof. David Greenberg explains on a @Buzzkillprof podcast: go.rutgers.edu/9lbmlhbj @RutgersNB

My Dearest Followers:
Without googling, can you name 25 Presidents and a major event/accomplishment associated with that President term(s)?
Background: After walking 7 miles, I was famish, entered a restaurant, sat at the bar (quicker service), and a local strikes a conversation with me.
Guess what was the topic? The election lol lol
I was behaving until this comment was made: “Biden is the worst president ever.” In return, I reply: “No offense, sugar-pie, can you even name 25 Presidents and an event/accomplishment?”
Lord have mercy. I opened a can of worms. Everyone around us had been listening to the debate. About 10 people.
Not a single person named 25 Presidents without my assistance by providing hints. Not one!
Then, the table was turned on me. I was asked to name 40 Presidents and 25 Vice Presidents. Then I was asked to name 25 State Capitals, 10 US Rivers, the 50 States, 10 Famous American literature authors, 10 College Football teams, 10 NFL teams, (don’t ask, one of the guys was trying to prove a point) and I was even asked about the Civil War! Well! Oh yes, I took a napkin to outline the Civil War battles lol lol
At the end, I was told that I was a nerd and geek and there was no way in hell any of them would debate the Presidential election with me.
For Pete’s sake, I majored in EUROPEAN history in college, not American. How in the world can I be a geek or nerd?!?!? And how in the world can we as a nation not name at least 25 Presidents within 5 minutes or less?!?!?!?
Silliness, I say, and ridiculousness! I made 10 new friends who agreed that sports was a neutral topic lol lol lol
