Not ground breaking by any stretch but learning hands on is far easier than reading textbooks!
90 face shield frames in a mix of PLA & PETG ready for collection for front line workers. BURPS is only getting material covered for this work, but is happy to be able to help in some small way. There's a little over 50hrs of printing here spread over 4 days and three machines.
Day care duties has resulted in an unexpected quality control officer who is equally keen on 'make printers running'! New PETG machine nearing completion of basic assembly. Wiring when mini-boss is asleep!
Even the UK government's own social media teams can't work out the vague blame shifting announcements. Straight after the announcement there was a clear post:

In a state of national emergency the government should be protecting public health first and business second. To do that it's measures should be clear and woth as little room for miss interpretation as possible. Do we go to work today or not? It should be not by now.

...but I really wish I had ordered the ingredients for my next natch of homebrew beer last week! Not BURPS area of business by the way, just a personal persuit!
Here's something with no relation to the work of BURPS, and to be honest I had no idea another Batman was coming, but I already like this bit of it a lot! :-D
Should be receiving my new power supply today. £80 for a 500W brand name PSU. Ok, overspec but I've killed 2 PSUs now. Puts the ~£180 printer kits you can get from online market places in perspective! Steppers, controllers, heaters, wiring, documentation & quality control?
Second 'economy' power supply to die with fan failure on my printers. Only got 4 running at the moment! Replaced cheapy 300W with a Mean Well 1/2kW. Shouldn't trouble the warranty! @MeanWellLED @MeanwellUK Can you match farnell prices for low volume is your target manf?
...and the next evolution of my take on the P3Steel starts to take shape! :-)
New hotend in build for the next P3Steel. Ti heat break, copper block, Capricorn tubing, 40W heater, PT100, nozzle x. It will be running alongside a stock hotend on a similar machine. Looking forward to the shootout! @E3DOnline @Duet3D As always music from @PrimordialRadio!

Run as far as possible on an open source toolchain and hope to encourage others to join in!
Press release: PISA results - UK governments must invest in data skills “Without training and knowledge in digital skills, large numbers of UK workers will be ill-equipped to take on many jobs of the future" - @C_Stihler okfn.org/about/press/release…
Communicating Newton's laws this clearly with no words is a true art!
Frames of reference (physics fun)

Seeing a few major math fails in the black friday junk emails! A further 10% off a price reduced by 40% from RRP does not equal 50% off RRP! :-D
