Nearly 40-year old @wiacsports records broken!
During Saturday's @UWRFFootball NCAA quarterfinal win over Wheaton, Kaleb Blaha passed former UW-Stevens Point quarterback Kirk Baumgartner's records from 1987 for pass completions and yards of total offense.

Not much has changed. He used to do this at high school games back in the day.
Right after the Pacers won, Tyrese Halliburton’s dad went STRAIGHT to Giannis to troll 😭😭😭 (via @NBA) xitter.cf/goodlandfan/status/191…

Watching MN state tournament. I get both sides of the argument but it’s obvious now that basketball with a shot clock, especially at the end when it matters most, is much more enjoyable to watch. Related, retired Regis coach Bill Uelmen’s grandson about to win AAAA title #wisbb

GAME OF THE YEAR!!!
There were 3 buzzer beaters in tonight’s section 6AAA final between Benilde-St. Margaret’s vs. Orono.
Jaleel Donley bank-in three to end regulation. 70-70.
Brady Wooley lay-in at the end of OT. 73-73.
Nolan Groves HALF-COURT buzzer-beater in 2OT. 86-84.
Basketball games when there is a touch or off-ball foul called almost every time down the court are fun to watch. Fun for both teams, fun for the fans too.

Most consecutive seasons with a WIAA football playoffs win (active):
Homestead, 23 (2001-present)
Edgar, 20 (2004-present)
Kimberly, 17 (2007-present)
*Kimberly won a playoffs game in Spring 2021 -- I count that as 2020 season

After a memorable NSIC season, Derek Baumgartner has been named 1st Team All-NSIC.
The 5th year senior catcher led the conference in doubles. His 21 doubles in 2023 is good for 2nd in WSU single season history.
This is Derek’s second All-NSIC selection.

What a special day for Medford 2023 Logan Baumgartner!
Earlier today, he committed to UW-Stevens Point MBB 🏀
Moments ago, he hit a grand slam ⚾️
Last stop is the diamond where @medraidersbase has erased a 7-2 fifth-inning deficit with an 11-run rally capped by a @Baumgartner55 grand slam. Raiders lead Auburndale 13-7.
42-41 W-F 1 left. An odd technical and a bunch of FTs for W-F may be the difference here. #wisbb
