Delivered ahead of schedule, St John of God Midland Private Hospital shows what’s possible when the work starts long before the site does. Digital engineering and virtual construction helped coordinate everything from medical services and data infrastructure to clinical spaces and building systems before construction began. By identifying and resolving issues early, the team reduced rework and delays that can affect projects of this scale. The 123-bed hospital includes eight operating theatres, bringing together complex clinical, technical and building systems in a single coordinated project. The Built Queensland team went the distance at this year's Bridge to Brisbane, raising $20,871 for Micah Projects and more than doubling their fundraising target.
