Being part of the PitchIn investor jury at IILM Gurugram was energizing—sharp ideas, great conversations, and a reminder of why I love building ecosystems where startups can connect and grow. 🙌
How to correctly measure community engagement:
↳ Platform activities across ALL your spaces
↳ Engagement quality (meaningful vs. surface-level conversations)
↳ Value creation
↳ Business impact

Let’s wrap up Mental Health Month with an evening that’s as real as it gets — messy doodles, open hearts, and all the feelings. No pressure to be “artsy”

Started a Health & Wellness community for Noida folks.
Here's the very first event, and thanks to all the wonderful ladies who showed up, it was a success!

Happy to see more spaces where we can be real with each other.
Real magic happens when we build community offline - away from the noise of likes and algorithms.
Some of my best conversations happened when people felt safe to share unpopular ideas face-to-face ✨
There's a problem with opinion online, which is that most opinion is social coded now. There's a scale beyond which you just cannot have independent opinion and if you do, the status quo with a differing opinion will form an immune response. Many people cannot watch a movie today without thinking about what others think/have thought about it.
Online now is basically freshers giving other freshers advice because the non freshers basically have pretty contrarian opinions and have stfu. Like almost everything I've learned in the last couple of years is the opposite of common online lore especially in India. Plus there are too many bots + echo chambers + engagement farming accounts that prevent the average person from taking contrarian ideas seriously.
One of the passtime things I want to do is to open a forum offline to hear out new and interesting ideas even if everybody disagrees with them. Mostly work/business/life related. Anyone think this might be useful?

What 90% of Community builders miss: The real reason people join and stay in a community ⬇️

We doubled member engagement in 60 days by focusing on just 3 key metrics.
Active participation > total members
Meaningful connections > post count
Member success stories > engagement rate
Align metrics with both business goals AND member needs.

The most successful community I built started with 25 hand-picked members from my network and grew to 14k:
Here's how I did it:
⭐️ Soft launch to a small group first
⭐️ Gather feedback and fix problems quickly
⭐️ Seed discussions before inviting the masses

The Secret Ingredient to building thriving communities (It's not what you think)
#MemberEngagement #CommunityBuilding #OnlineCommunity #CommunityManager
Platform selection isn't about what's trendy—it's about what serves your goals:
Deep discussions? Consider forums
Exclusive content? Try membership platforms
Quick engagement? Use social channels
Test your signup process ruthlessly. Every friction point costs you members.
I tested 7 community platforms before finding the one that tripled our engagement.
The secret wasn't fancy features—it was matching platform to member behaviour.
Pro tip: Start in public channels to build credibility before creating private spaces.
The most successful communities I've built started with weeks of research.
Numbers matter less than engagement.
100 passionate members beat 10,000 lurkers every time.
People join communities for themselves, not for you.
Our community grew from 0 to 5,000 members in 60 days.
The secret? Research before building.
Before choosing platforms, immerse yourself in your audience's world:
🔎Join groups they're in
🔎Listen to how they talk
🔎Identify their challenges
#CommunityBuilding
I built 2 communities that failed before I built one with 14,000+ members
The difference? A clear WHY
Before platforms or content, ask:
❓Why are we creating this space
❓What unique value can we offer
❓Who specifically are we serving
