Day 1️⃣ Since the election was called we’ve been out speaking to residents across Cities of London and Westminster. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to chat - it’s inspiring to hear the hope for our country.

Playing football ⚽️ as a kid at Tutbury Avenue fields and “the Man” walking across our pitch at the height of #Specials fame and asking us if we were alright as he went to the Powells house 🏡🙏🏿
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing, following a brief illness, of Terry, our beautiful friend, brother and one of the most brilliant singers, songwriters and lyricists this country has ever produced. (1/4)

Have always liked Fran Kirby. An unproblematic Peter Beardsley.

In Hungarian, we don’t use he/she there is only one gender pronoun “Ö”. But it’s fascinating when this is fed through Google Translate, the algorithms highlight the biases that are there. Then imagine enacting any kind of change from those biases, encoded into computer code.

He really was unfathomably wonderful. #Pratchett on fantasy, while charmingly putting a snob in their place.

The power of #Lidar on the new iPhones... this fully rendered detailed room scan/3D model took me less than 5 minutes with Scaniverse and the iPhone’s new AR scanners. Yes, also another excuse to show off my OTT shelving. The Lego roller coaster didn’t scan quite so well. 😂

Novavax news means whole UK adult population could be immunised by June 2021. 1. Pfizer/BioNTech & Oxford/AstraZeneca currently delivering c. 10-15m doses a month. 2. Moderna comes on stream in April. 3. Novavax assumed to come on stream in mid March. docs.google.com/spreadsheets…

What happens if the UK fully opens up in late April when the most vulnerable 20m have had two jabs? TLDR: There could be serious problems. 1. Vaccines aren't 100% effective. If all this group got exposed to Covid then there would be c. 40,000 deaths, maybe a lot more.

So UK's role of 'worst major country pandemic handling' looks likely to be matched with 'best major country vaccination record'. That tells us something interesting about skills of UK government.
