It’s time to look back at Mastodon… mastodon.social/@buddhake

The day before @EAA starts is just as much fun as the actual show. Seeing all the vendors get set up and the flurry of aircraft arrive is magical. Let's do it again tomorrow, whaddyasay? #avgeek

Turning onto the runway yesterday, I got nostalgic for an old favourite ATC instruction of mine: "taxi into position and hold". Sure the new replacement, "line up and wait" is globally aligned and does the job but that older phrase still gives me shivers of excitement. #avgeek

Custard cremes need to be standard grocery fare in the US. Their broad absence approaches national negligence. #biscuitequality

Watching the #GeneralElection2024 results in the UK one thing has become sadly uncommon to this American: candidates accepting their party's wins and losses graciously and without shouting or accusations of cheating. I wish I thought that will be the case in November, too.

My favourite site at @GLShipwreckHS is the Piping Plover. Taken last week Monday (24/06). He was waving his beak toward his Plover friends in Chicagoland, I'm sure cc: @ChicagoPiping

It takes a special kind of town to have an annual, friendly, pick-up game of #robotics. And it takes a wonderful #library district to sponsor, host and organise it, too. Thanks, @aadl, who organised and hosted, and all the teams that participated in today's #WAPUR event #annarbor

Happiest day in tech: all my @SlackHQ Slacks are back to normal, both mobile and desktop... so long unnecessary whitespace and painfully hidden info!

I’m hiring! My team @dotmatics is looking for a security engineer in the UK (fully remote!) to help us grow our shared infosec capabilities across an array of really innovative health R&D software brands! Info and application details are here: grnh.se/a5bdf8cf5us

Double tap just means my nose would suddenly be out of a job... #AppleEvent

I really miss the live, raw, real demos and human reactions to what they see. The pre-recorded apple keynotes are like the audition tape you can record, rerecord and edit... until it's too perfect and therefore rather unrealistic.

I can listen to the atc wizards landing thousands of planes at #osh23 on the radio all day long. Will be there soon. #welcometooshkosh #avgeek

This is the kind of queue I can tolerate to get into the real "happiest place on earth". #kosh #airventure23 #avgeek

Hurray for full and no cost access to banned books!

My favourite phrase in sports: The @Cubs are routing the @Cardinals. Even better when it's from my other favourite city, London!

Loved the performances this year. #Eurovision never lets me down.
