The Iranian strategy here has two weaknesses. Closing the strait too much will speed up the construction of bypass routes or cause demand destruction, decreasing the value of the Strait. It's also susceptible to Israeli salami tactics even if Israel temporarily accepts ceasefire.
Not long after Iran closes Strait of Hormuz - Netanyahu and Katz order the army to cease fire without withdrawing from areas of control south of #Lebanon

What a rotten deal we made with Iran. We get nothing (except laughter at our stupidity). They get everything, including delay and big cash!

Trump cleverly avoided being seen by history as Herbert Hoover by surrendering in the style of Neville Chamberlain. (I am being unfair to Chamberlain here. Trump has set a new bar for both strategic failure and spinelessness) wsj.com/world/middle-east/in…

I don't get it. A $100 Codex subscription is enough for a single developer to run a couple of parallel agents on code for most of the work day. You can use a cheaper Windsurf or Chinese subscription to cover when you hit a limit on Codex. No one is going back to coding by hand.
This is coming to every company that got drunk on the AI hype and gave unlimited access to tokens for their employees Lot of them crunching the numbers and now just realizing how expensive tokens actually are

I need a place to bitch so this will be it. To whoever is the product manager at Google that insists that Gemini must ask me follow up questions regardless of what I try to do to stop it - you should be fired for hurting UX to improve your personal KPIs. @google

The deal with Iran will go down as one of the most incompetent ever made. The U.S. lost on virtually every point. We just don't win anymore! – at Manhattan, NY

Iran was on its last legs and ready to collapse until the U.S. came along and gave it a life-line in the form of the Iran Deal: $150 billion

I wonder when our enemies will stop listening to the advice of Moshe from the Mossad when he suggests to do a big meeting in person because Zoom isn't secure enough?
מעניין מתי האויבים שלנו יפסיקו להקשיב לעצה של משה מהמוסד שמציע להם להפגש כולם ביחד בזמן מלחמה כי זום זה לא מספיק מאובטח

RIP John Bolton He passed away a few hours ago from lack of blood flow to his extremities (except one). He died doing what he loved. Seeing Iran on fire.

Azure is an absolutely horrible product that has an absolute garbage user interface. I have given up on trying to use it twice and am at the point of giving up a third time and all I am trying to do is create a fucking user account for an employee.

Yes most Americans think socialism is universal healthcare. But the actual socialists in politics that would benefit from this misunderstanding don't.
This should be considered *far* more alarming than the polls about political violence. Two-thirds positive views towards an evil ideology that has killed tens of millions and cannot work is *very* bad.

This is how it starts, but not how it ends
Reachy Mini, the desktop open-source robot. The new version is close to 360 view. Ships with 15+ behaviors ready to run, and it is designed to be programmed with a Python software development kit plus a simulation toolkit that lets projects start before the hardware arrives. The body is 28cm tall, 16cm wide, 1.5kg, with a motorized head offering 6 Degrees of Freedom, full body rotation, and animated antennas for expressive motion. Sensors include a wide-angle camera, a 5W speaker, and microphones with 2 on Lite and 4 on the full model, and the full model adds an accelerometer for posture and motion cues. Two versions exist, the Lite is tethered and compute-less but plug into Mac and Linux with Windows support planned, while the full Reachy Mini adds onboard Raspberry Pi 5, WiFi, and a battery for untethered use. The behavior hub ties into a large community, so new behaviors can be uploaded, discovered, and pulled down fast, which makes the robot evolve as the shared library grows.

I tried the new agent-mode @warpdotdev and it's surprisingly good. The only thing I would like to figure out is how to stop the agent when it makes a silly assumption in thinking so that I can clarify things. But overall I think given well-prepared context it can be damn good.

Ok, it now indexed all 3 projects that i can with the free account. Now I need to figure out the last thing that is annoying me which is that when I want to prompt it rather than run a command but I want to add a lot of context it gets confused and runs a command.

The ones that survive are also likely to prefer to avoid the same fate and many would go work elsewhere, taking their knowledge with them.
Silly to say that you can't bomb nuclear knowledge. Yes, you can. Eliminate enough nuclear scientists and you eliminate much of that knowledge. Nuclear scientists are much harder to replace for Iran than IRGC commanders.
