Sarah Ward, film critic and writer Australian-based critic for @Screendaily, reviews AlwaysLalisa for the Alliance of Women Film Journalists.
“Where such a picture, be it doco or biopic, often stands apart is in its honesty and its sense of authenticity. Even those new to Lisa or Blackpink, or who became fans when her 2025 Coachella stint proved a sensation, will feel that genuineness radiating through.”
“ALWAYS LALISA is both engaging and revealing, including at its most poised.”
“Overall, Kim’s portrait of the singer’s intensely busy break from Blackpink hones in on someone taking risks to stretch and grow, and navigating the wins and tests that go with it, because that’s necessary to find herself.”

guys please, the amount of people recording videos of the cinema screen, like almost every scene for minutes straight… please stop, we only have just a few screening and its still matters. please be considerate and respect the film and everyone who wants to enjoy it properly.... this is not a concert 😭
