Regarding the ending of the Mich vs. WMU game, the explaination is bogus. As someone who knows how this process works in detail, there is one clock that matters in this situation. The game clock in the stadium.

The game clock operator is reacting to the on-field officials, starting and stopping on their signals. This clock is the official time of the contest.

Typically, a tv feed will physically pull the data from the game clock console via a cat6 cable or something compatable. There should only be ONE time kept, if there is more than one time then something is off and one of them cannot be considered official.

So you ask these young men to bust their butt all year, then when the championship season starts you bounce? Something is broken with this system.
