If meta isn’t +20% on this are markets even efficient
Some personal news: I recently joined MetaDAO. Working at Colosseum with Matty, Clay, Nate, and Max was a dream job. I learned a tremendous amount from each of them, and I will miss the team deeply. Colosseum represents the very best of our industry -- running the world’s largest hackathons, writing checks before ideas are fully formed, and building open-source tools so a thousand flowers may bloom. It’s been an honor to work with our founders, and I’m excited to keep supporting them from my new seat. Ever since I got oneshotted in 2023, I've thought about MetaDAO every single day -- with only a few notable exceptions. And along the way, I’ve tried to help. At Delphi, that meant writing slightly verbose research reports to spread the gospel. At Colosseum, it was STAMP, the Inaugural MetaDAO Owners Meeting, and [redacted]. Now, it’s time to go all in. I love this industry and am optimistic about what we will build. But we haven’t lived up to our own expectations. The blockchains work. And the stablecoins work. So where are all the generational businesses? It’s not that crypto is useless. It’s that too often, we reward launching tokens more than building lasting companies. I believe MetaDAO can help change that by giving founders a better way to raise money and build businesses on the internet. Fundraising is how we will bring decision markets to the world. Our ambition goes beyond helping founders raise money -- it’s to change how companies are run and, ultimately, how institutions and perhaps even AIs make decisions. For three years, I’ve believed in what MetaDAO could become. Now I get to help build it alongside Prophet, Kollan, and the rest of the team. Long live the Meta DAO

A follow up to my Heresy article on Pearl @prlnet TLDR - Pearl is growing at the exponential rate of AI thanks to "Duplex Work" - Emissions != sell pressure - ASIC mining risk is overblown because Inference ASICs already exit and are Pearl friendly

Best way to sandbox an AI is to put it on a Delta flight – it will have no chance of accessing the Internet!

I shouldn’t have to explain why this is embarrassing!

A neat feature of tokens/blockchains is their ability to transparently sell a component of a company. If @circle were to be cash-strapped, they could issue and sell a network token that recieves all cashflows from circulating USDC on @arc. You could then throw in a buyout clause etc. that protects Circle but still offers an attractive investment. This protects the balance sheet from unwanted debt and shareholders from ATM activity. This is similar to how Chicago sold their parking meters to the UAE.
One week on Arc Mainnet. 624M USDC in circulation. $6.8B USDC transferred. Day one was just the beginning.

all of kalshi’s volume is inflated. parlays are 61% of their reported volume and it’s all fake yesterday they had $136M actually traded but they reported $1.91B $1 placed on a 14.1x parlay gets counted as $14.10 in volume 48% of their parlay volume are slips with 11+ legs (moonshots that never hit) i think they are doing this to fool investors

I like this thesis. I also like it because if it proves true, it’s proof of a very interesting edge that X-adjacent users have. Anyways, be the candle you want to see.

Took a 2 week call position in DKNG for rerate on upcoming kalshi headlines Credible twitter evidence of kalshi inflating volume on not only perps but also event contracts, no mainstream covg yet Also matt Kalish has been kalshis main opp so I like it for vibes. Probly lose 80% of the time here, win if huge kalshi scandal and mkt sees through to dkng

I’ve long argued the true benefit of crypto is the democratization of finance. This is the first venue for normal people to buy stocks privately. Normal people cannot use dark pools in traditional finance. We are winning if you look close enough!
Every near.com launch removes one more thing you used to do somewhere else. Today, we're partnering with @Ondo to bring tokenized US stocks and ETFs into near.com, confidentially, with one account 🧵

This thread is 100% gonna blow up and I am gonna look like a salty c****again but @icobeast pissed me off so now it's gonna get ugly Kalshi fakes their crypto volume and I can prove it NOTHING pisses me off more than watching a company treat its own customers like complete fucking idiots Grab some popcorn cause I dissected every piece of evidence one by one until there’s basically no way for him to respond without making this look even worse Oh and FYI, I left every source at the end so y’all can check the receipts yourselves 😘 1/x

Seeing posts about Pokemon scalpers losing shitloads of money because “they overprinted the new set and the pulls aren’t rare enough” brings a tear to my eye. Creatures like that deserve every L imaginable after colonizing a kids game that they don’t even care about, all to feed a crippling gambling addiction. Ya love to see it. Repeat after me: Scalpers aren’t small business owners. Let the kids play.

Can someone explain where Zcash got a quantum narrative? There is nothing quantum-proofed in the network. SNARKs rely on elliptic curves which can be broken by Shor’s (same as Bitcoin).

Tomorrow is my last day @Starknet. I am proud of what we accomplished during my tenure: 1. A BTCFi program that generated >$150m in inflows. 2. A compliant privacy framework. 3. The first quantum-safe Bitcoin transaction. 4. So much more! Many thanks to @thedamooo @strjd87 @hughdanbyplatt @jyjonathan et al. for making my experience so enjoyable. There are a lot of special people continuing to build for the network and I am confident they will succeed. Next, I'm going to take a short hiatus to finish my last undergraduate semester. After that, I'm looking forward to getting back to work!
