10 years ago tonight, then-candidate Donald Trump destroyed Crooked Hillary Clinton at the Al Smith Dinner in legendary fashion. This was the best moment:
"I am told Hillary went to confession before tonight's event, but the priest was having a hard time and he asked her about her sins and she said she could not remember 39 times. Hillary is so corrupt, she got kicked off the Watergate commission.
How corrupt do you have to be to get kicked off the Watergate commission? Pretty corrupt. Hillary is and has been in politics since the 1970s. What is her pitch? The economy is busted, the government is corrupt, Washington is failing. Vote for me. I have been working on these problems for 30 years. I can fix it, she says.
I was not really sure if Hillary was going to be here tonight, because, I guess, you did not send her an invitation by email, or maybe you did and she just found out about it through the wonder of WikiLeaks. We have learned so much from WikiLeaks. For example, Hillary Clinton believes it is vital to deceive the people by having one public policy and a different policy in private. That's okay. Everyone knows, of course, Hillary has believed that it takes a village, which only makes sense, after all, in places like Haiti, where she has taken a number of them.

🚨🚨THE DEMOCRACY FILES, PART 3: AMERICA GETS THE FOREIGN-INTERVENTION TREATMENT 🚨
At what point does this become foreign interference of our elections?
To back up: the main group that Danielle Reiff and the other ex-USAID workers belongs to, Renew To Thrive (R2T) / Renew American Democracy (RAD) have an explicit strategy document. That strategy outlines "preparing for the worst" which includes the Insurrection Act or "election meltdown," and their goal is to get "structural reform" in place by that - a polite way of saying our Constitutional Republic has to be overhauled.
In July 2026, R2T/RAD invited foreign state actors to share experience with the American community, for the express purpose of operationalizing their expertise right here in the United States. All actors had experience in international community assisted transitions (I'll let you figure out what that is a code word for).
The disturbing part, though, is that all of the foreign actors' recommendations were implemented right here in America.
You may have seen news headlines like:
- Restore trust in processes
- Increased election security, increased legal presence at polls
- Democratic officials hold tabletop exercises
- Judges prepare for post-election challenges
To be clear, this video doesn't prove that this meeting specifically caused this cascade of escalations. But what it shows is that the democracy-promotion playbook the U.S. spent decades exporting, with situation rooms, observers at every polling place, prebunking and litigation paired with street mobilization, is now being run on America's own election. The same people are running it, and they're taking advice from the foreign actors the U.S. once backed.
Now when you look at officials talking about independent watchdogs or tabletop exercises... know that it's because they are now treating the United States midterms exactly the same as they'd treat elections in a third world country.
And I think more than a small part of them are hoping that it does become a self-fulfilling prophecy as it has in so many of those countries. (For context, my book Unelected documents that so-called "election meltdowns" are precursors to transitions of power via color revolution.)

A THEORY...
What if the Defense Production Act has played a much larger role behind the scenes than the public currently understands?
Think about what we're witnessing.
Advanced nuclear microreactors. New civilian reactor projects. Small modular reactors. Experimental fusion technologies. Revolutionary AI systems. Advanced robotics. Critical mineral processing. New energy technologies and industrial facilities.
Technologies that historically required enormous amounts of capital, complicated supply chains, years of regulatory approvals and, in some cases, decades of research are suddenly appearing in an extraordinary wave of announcements.
All happening at a pace which is virtually impossible in the timelines we have been presented with.
But what if some of that development has been deliberately accelerated through national-security authorities, federal partnerships and industrial mobilization programs that began long before the public announcements?
And what if the DPA is one of the mechanisms being used to bring those capabilities into public view?
The DPA allows the federal government to prioritize industrial production, support critical manufacturing capacity, make purchase commitments and help overcome supply-chain bottlenecks.
It does not magically invent technology overnight.
But it CAN help accelerate the transition from research and development to industrial production.
My speculation goes one step further:
Could Trump have been laying the groundwork for this industrial transformation during his first administration, with some programs continuing through subsequent years, and are we now watching the results emerge?
How many times has Trump called himself a "WARTIME PRESIDENT?"
The documented expansion of DPA authorities, combined with the acceleration of strategic energy and technology initiatives, raises a question worth investigating.
We've also been tracking federal equity investments, strategic mineral partnerships, shipbuilding projects, nuclear expansion and the proposed American sovereign wealth fund.
Could these be separate pieces of a much larger effort to rebuild America's industrial and technological capacity?
THE QUESTION ISN'T JUST WHAT TRUMP IS BUILDING TODAY.
IT'S HOW MUCH OF WHAT WE'RE SEEING TODAY WAS ALREADY BEING DEVELOPED YEARS AGO — AND WHAT ROLE NATIONAL-SECURITY INDUSTRIAL AUTHORITIES MAY HAVE PLAYED.
Because the announcements may be new.
But the underlying technology, investment and preparation may be anything but.
