Incredible how far you can get as a designer who builds, just by asking the ai questions.

Opus 5.5 feels like how GPT-5.6 Sol felt when it first came out but even better. 6 Sol unfortunately feels like a step back

it’s crazy how bad models are at estimating work. 2-4 days? no, how long will it take *you*

Isn’t Liquid Glass’ whole thing that it can live on top of content. This white strip feels like a huge step back.
For the most part, I think the vertical toolbars on the iPhone Duo are a clever space-saving idea but in some apps like Safari, it makes the screen feel boxed-in. Not ideal. Personally I think they should've gone with a bottom toolbar in Safari like they do on regular phones. Feels a lot more immersive. Alternatively, they could keep the vertical toolbar but get websites to adjust themselves with safe-area-insets but that seems like a lot of work that every website on the internet would have to take on. Hard sell.

Not sure about this partially folded view on the iPhone Duo. The balance feels...wrong

One of my fave design details from the iPhone Duo. Nudging further from skeuomorphism.

I take it back, they did it!
I doubt it will happen but I hope the incoming foldable iPhone supports Apple Pencil. Would make the perfect sketchbook.

Unexpected side effect of designing with AI: I’ve gotten much better at articulating problems concisely and precisely.

This is not true. As a designer you learn through practice of the craft. I’d concede that you can be born with an eye, but design is the application of taste to real world problems. And that’s a skill you can learn.
Design is not something to learn Either you have the eye or you don’t I’ve been a designer since I could hold a pencil Can’t teach that

How are you all getting good results out of 5.6 Luna Max? I plan with Sol but even still it feels like I have to retry several times to get what I want.
