I had to put @BrightTALK into the spam list. I don't understand how you can send me your first marketing message 15 minutes after I sign up but 6 days after unsubscribing I'm still getting 3-4 emails day. I guess this is why people use burner accounts.

Teaching my 10yo about the effects of loss, latency and jitter. The trick is to provide a common frame of reference.

Interesting statement. I've been thinking through something recently. I spent too much time in 2019 looking for external validation. Turns out that didn't really make me happy.
Good morning. On this Friday I want you to think about something. “External success is not the same as inner success.” The things you chase outside of yourself will only provide a happiness that is fleeting. Wake up and be great!

This is the best way to start the day.
My acting teacher told us to perform a dramatic monologue from any movie and I did mine from Austin Powers and no one noticed.

Is it .yaml or .yml? Part of me thinks its yml because it’s more efficient. The other part says yaml because yml looks stupid. @hfpreston

To make matters worse this got Ya Mar by Phish stuck in me head for that past 2 days. Ya mar, ya mar, ya mar, ya mar, Ya mar, ya mar, ya mar
Perfect timing. I need to generate some ACLs for a poor man's packet capture. Maybe I can inspire you to write automate some BGP configs :)
For those looking to automate ACLs on @Cisco IOS/IOS-XE devices, I started working on a #Python script. Extended ACLs are next :) Thank you @bryan25607 for the inspiration! github.com/donthor/StandardA…

I’ve been watching the trend posting a picture of the badge from the company you are leaving to announce a new job. Legit question - did you spend more time on the resignation letter or trying to find that badge after 3-4 months?

I took a remote Cisco exam today. It's not an experience I'd do again. Maybe @PearsonVUE should spend more effort locking down test questions and less time worrying about the Chapstick on my desk. Now to spend 20 minutes restoring the home office.

Tony Gwynn hit .338 for his career. I want you to think about this for a minute. That means if he went 5-for-15 in a series, which is awesome, his fucking average dropped. He maintained this standard for 20 years. Legend.

Bryan Byrne retweeted
Per the GOP stunt of their "brave" storming of Capitol Hill, that old Carl Sandburg quote comes to mind: “If the facts are against you, argue the law. If the law is against you, argue the facts. If the law and the facts are against you, pound the table and yell like hell.”
